🏍️🃏 Don't forget! The Mid Ohio Shriners Bike Show & Poker Run is happening tomorrow, and several streets will be closed during the event. Streets impacted include Park Avenue West between Walnut and Main, Park Avenue East and North Park Street from North Main to North Diamond, South Park Street from South Main to South Diamond, and Main Street between 3rd and 2nd Street. Fatal Crash in Holmes County Under Investigation
Date of Incident: July 22, 2025

Location: State Route 39, east of Township Road 455, Washington Township

Holmes County Sheriff Tim Zimmerly reported a fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred around 10:27 a.m. yesterday. The victim, Travis D. Jones, age 57, of Danville, was pronounced dead at the scene by Western Holmes EMS. He was driving a 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty towing a 2019 Goose Neck Trailer.

Jones had just loaded items at a business in the Loudonville Industrial Park and was traveling southbound on Banks Avenue. He failed to stop at the intersection at State Route 39, crossed the highway, entered a yard, and struck a creek embankment. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

An autopsy is expected to be ordered by Holmes County Coroner Dr. Leon Miller. Investigators are still determining whether medical issues and or any other impairment played a role in the crash.

• Loudonville Police, Fire, and EMS
• Holmes County Coroner Dr. Leon Miller

The investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Alert: I71 near/about MM 174. Single commercial vehicle mva in the median. Debris every where. Mostly cleaned out of travel lanes.

Truck was traveling South bound, went off into the median, the wire barrier stopped it from going into the north bound travel lanes.

Approximately 750 ft of cable wire barrier damaged.

Expect lane closures when they begin to recover the truck and trailer.

OHSP and Mifflin Township Fire on scene.
Unknown if driver has injuries.
