What is going on behind the PAC and Frontier High School?

MORE APARTMENTS??!!

No, but there are 2 new developments being built there.

Here is just a quick summary:

Kinney Park:
Entrance located off of Business 287 near Fire Station #4

Approx 32.352 acres
214 lots or total dwellings
140 SF homes with 1600-1800 min sf sizes
74 townhomes with 1200 min SF size
This will also have internal play areas, park areas, and community stage areas.

Dolce Vita:
2 Entrances 1 off Debbie and 1 off Calendar Rd.

Approx 81 acres
263 single family detached homes
1800 - 2200 min sf sizes
This will also have play areas, parks, jogging trails and community stage areas.
It is a shame all the existing trees had to be plowed over and mulched up for these developments, but the grade correction required for these neighborhoods to be built properly leaves little to possibly remain.
Also looks like several small ponds will be filled in (hope the prep all that properly for structures)

I have attached the site plans for lots and layouts.
These two developments may connect with a small bridge over natural drainage areas between them, hope they plant a lot more trees when finished.

So I recently saw a post about “what is going on with this development near Matlock and Broad Street”?
Is it abandoned?
Labor raids?
Developer go under?

So I went by to look.

There are workers there and many tasks being performed.
Windows, balcony railings, siding, drywall, brick work, and such all being worked on. Also saw a handful of “supervisors” walking around. No one would or could answer questions for me as it is a private development (I think) and people in general aren’t supposed to be walking around (I wasn’t doing much and was on public street areas)
I spoke to an inside source at the city and they know nothing about why or if any delays on their part.
It all appears to be progressing, albeit a little slower than my experience for a project like this would normally be going).
Looks like a lot of combination of Hardie siding and brick to be installed all over.
This isn’t a recent “approval” by council or anyone to my knowledge. This project was likely approved years ago so I don’t have any other info on that at this time.

Fire Station #1 Update!

This is another development project by the city to expand services and help spur other development in Historic Downtown Mansfield.

Estimated at $13-$15 million to relocate this station but it will also allow for much needed upgrades and ability for our responders to serve this area more effectively.

New City Hall!!Love it or hate it…it has begun.
No ceremonial groundbreaking though…a couple quiet action and material approvals and off we go.
It is currently under budget though.

Staybolt/Stadium Update.

The stadium is progressing. West side stands almost setup. The pitch area is taking shape. Access roads are nearing completion.

It is amazing to think that this will all be ready in 10 months or so for soccer.
Everything else around won’t even be close, but we will see a lot more steel coming up and a few more structures beginning to take shape soon.

Many people like it, many people don’t. Either way it is happening and when all this area is developed, it should be a huge tax money maker for decades to come for Mansfield. As well as many enjoyable activities for the residents.
