We are excited to announce the first-ever Lula Lake race... the Lula Laker: 19-Mile Independent Race! Be one of the first to set foot (or wheel!) in this new race series for trail runners and mountain bikers. Registration now open at
www.LulaLake.org/events.
This 19-mile independent race is designed for avid runners and mountain bikers with a trail course gaining 2,000 feet elevation. The race course is within the famous trail systems maintained by Lula Lake Land Trust. Divided between two days, runners will compete on Saturday, October 24 while mountain bikers will compete on Sunday, October 25 in this socially distant, independent race.
But what is this an independent race? Simple, LLLT has time slots for start times each day. Each participant is responsible for tracking their race time through the official Lula Lake Strava course or preferred GPS tracker of choice. The top 3 runners and top 3 mountain bikers will receive a one-of-a-kind prize package.
The Lula Laker requires a $50 donation as a registration fee to compete. 100% of this fee goes directly back into LLLT’s trail work and conservation efforts.
The Lula Laker is sponsored by Elley, Southeastern Salvage Home Emporium, Audi Chattanooga, First Horizon Bank, Village VW of Chattanooga, and Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. Prize packages are sponsored by The North Face, On the Road and Off, and Handup Gloves.
Join us for Capture the Flag at Lula Lake! Four kingdoms await warriors to rise to the calling. Time-honored flags of celebration have been stolen. Do you have what it takes to bring home the glory? Those who are brave of heart belong to the Ruby Kingdom of the North, but cunning soldiers take hold of the Emerald South. While those eastern loyalists abiding the Amber Kingdom put up a fair fight, warriors of the Sapphire West are more clever than most. To whomever your allegiance is pledged, capture your flag and score a victory!
This event is designed to be a tournament. Games (“Battles”) are 1-hour play times and limited to two teams of 10 players (20 players per battle). Four battles will commence, and the top 2 teams will go head-to-head at 4:30 for a winner-takes-all battle for prizes.
Tickets are now on sale at bit.ly/2020capturetheflag. $10 per player and includes (1) beer/soda ticket. Open to players ages 16+. Spectator tickets are $5 (children under 12 are free), and the main trail to the lake and falls will be open for hiking.
Lula Lake's Capture the Flag is proudly sponsored by First Horizon Bank, Audi Chattanooga, Village VW of Chattanooga, Southeastern Salvage Home Emporium, Elley, Chattanooga Whiskey, and Bell's Brewery.
Join us for Hike Bike Brew: Lula Lake Beer Festival, the premier beer festival where brews meet the outdoors! For the 5th year, Lula Lake Land Trust invites you to the Core Preserve for the most unique beer festival event. Hike Bike Brew takes you on an adventure as you hike or bike (or both!) to beer stations along our scenic trails where you'll see the famous Lula Lake and Lula Falls. For the first time, you can camp, too! This premier conservation fundraiser is like a treasure hunt with ice cold beer from 12 breweries. But wait, that’s not all! Restaurants will be set up in our meadow for the after-party with live music.

Tonight, we walked past Elley’s offices and my son commented on the “magical” animal in the window. Someone heard him, came out and gave him a hat featuring the magical animal and squishy balls for all four kids. Thank you Elley!!!
