Directing and switching a seven-camera event is always a pleasure, but when it evolves into a dual-production scenario, that is when the excitement begins. This past week, I was invited to participate in the Chapman University Investiture ceremony for the incoming president. In addition to covering the live event, I was also tasked with creating a secondary production for the video projector behind the stage, which would enable the audience to follow the events as they unfolded. If it were not for the exceptional support of Full Blown Events and their team of skilled professionals, the production could have encountered significant difficulties. Instead, we successfully engaged the faculty abd staff for several hours.

I haven’t been involved in motor sports for several years, but when Chris Jennings of PRIIME approached me to direct and switch the “Gridlife Laguna Festival,” I couldn’t resist the challenge and opportunity. PRIIME assembled a skilled production crew to support the event, along with their broadcast mobile trailer to cover the three-day event.

Corporate events are always unique experiences because the technology requirements constantly change and evolve as the production grows.
I recently had the opportunity to Direct and TD the “All In Summit 2025” for IMAG and TD the event at the same time with different requirements and elements. We had an amazing production crew from Tvacom using their mobile unit Herbie with Technical Producer Chris Heinrich, Director David Thies, Engineer Edward Carlson and Pro-Presenter and great friend Steve Meyer. Special thanks to Grocreative Showcaller Elyse Inferrera and Associate Producer Jennifer Greco for their creative talent.

A few months ago I had the opportunity to work on Paleyfest 25 at the Dolby Theatre. Some great panel conversations with actors and producers from Severance , Poker Face, Handmaids Tail, Cobra Kai, Hacks , Gossip Girl, The Marvelous Mrs.Mazel, Agatha All Along, and Matlock. With another remarkable production now complete, Natural Selection has once again raised the bar, mirroring the excitement of Surfing in Micronesia…with this captivating competition series Covering Bikes in Queensland, New Zealand, which proved to be just as awe-inspiring and hazardous. The team from Red Bull, Uncle Toad and JUXT deserves accolades for their outstanding work. Snowboarding from Canada is up next.
