The Williamson County Sheriff's Office says Illinois 13 at Crab Orchard Lake is back open following a multi-vehicle crash in the construction zone area earlier this morning.

A multi-vehicle accident has shut down traffic through the construction zone on Illinois 13 near Crab Orchard Lake.

Traffic is being diverted northbound at Greenbriar Road. You are encouraged to take another route if traveling westbound between Carterville and Carbondale. Eastbound traffic is not affected.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office will provide an update as soon as the roadway is reopened to traffic.
