During these difficult times we understand the effect that Covid 19 has had on our personal lives and also the businesses that are financially struggling due to the closures and the current state of the economy.

Have you considered how some of our community services have been impacted as well? Funds for the Library have dropped significantly. We are asking you, our wonderful community members, to consider a monetary gift to help our local library in our time of crisis.

Stimulus checks are coming out soon, so would you consider a donation for one or more of these areas? The Library appreciates anything you can give.

$50 would help cover the cost of ink for the printers
$100 - supplies for a month
$130 - one month's internet
$250 - utilities for a month
$350 - new books for a month
$750 - covers the fee for our library circulation system for a year
$1,400 - covers a one-year subscription for our eBooks and audio books
A donation for building maintenance - furnace repairs, etc.

Your donation can be made by cash, check or credit card. Simply mail your donation to the the Library or stop by during library hours to personally make a donation.

Thank you for your support! We greatly appreciated anything you can do to help us out.

Good News!

Marion Public Library is reopening on June 15th. We will resume regular hours of operation.
Although we are reopening, things will be different.
To begin with we will only be offering curbside services. Inter-library loans will commence.
What does this mean?
You may access the Library's on-line catalog at www.marion-library.org or call us for help and then let us know what you would like to check out. We will prepare your requests. When you arrive at the Library to pick up your materials,
give us a call, describe your vehicle, and we'll bring them out to you.
The side parking lot is the designated pickup location.
If you are walking, there will be a designated area marked on the sidewalk.
Library staff will wear masks. We would appreciate it if you did the same.
Returns may be made via the drop box out front or when picking up your materials.
Reopening is a process that will continue to evolve.
We will keep you informed as these changes occur.
Questions? Call 743-2421
Looking forward to working with you!

"What is true and beautiful for us is always ultimately what is true and beautiful for our people because there is no such thing as one way liberation.

When we free ourselves, we automatically free everyone around us.

When we grant ourselves permission to live as our truest selves, we automatically grant permission to everyone around us to do the same." - Glennon Doyle

It's a life-giving hug and a serious ass-kicking all wrapped up in one pajama-wearing conversation.
