Dear Community Members,

We have scheduled an upcoming community meeting on Wednesday, June 3rd, from 6:30-7:30 (or later if needed). The Location is the Markleville Community Center, 2649 State Rd. 38, Markleville, IN 46056
Jupiter Power has officially filed a petition to build their project. It is imperative that we understand the process and be prepared. Attorney Laureen White has been retained to assist us. Below are just a few of the topics that will be discussed. All are welcome! Please come with your questions.

Understanding the need for legal representation & creating a strong record based upon Madison Cty ordinances, state/federal laws, expert testimony & factual studies. *Can include the Kuchmay Notes.
Understanding the BESS lawsuit document and appeals
Understanding the County’s new UDO (why not a BESS Moratorium & our strategy for a safe BESS ordinance)
Organize the topics of speeches, assist in writing them &/or gaining readers. Also gain stand-bys to commit to being present at the Public Hearing to surrender time to the experts.
Future organizational date(s) in preparation for the big day with a “Mock Run Through” presentation

Big corporations are trying to take away our country life.

Why not place this system on a former contaminated site instead taking away our primary farmland and our countryside.
