We understand that many readers are frustrated, and we want to address those concerns clearly and with the truth. Some subscribers have not received their weekly newspaper in a timely manner. Some have received papers days late, and others have reported receiving older papers after newer ones should...

⚠️ATTENTION AVOYELLES PARISH ‼️

If you have not received your weekly newspaper, please know that we ARE sending them out every single week at the same time. Some people seem to think we are not mailing the papers, and that is simply untrue.

We deliver them to the Marksville Post Office each week, and from there they are sent to Shreveport before going to your local post office. Once they are turned over to USPS, the delivery process is unfortunately out of our hands.

We have spent all day trying to contact the Shreveport Post Office regarding the delays and have not been able to get any answers. If your paper is delayed, please help support your local newspaper by contacting the post office and letting them know how important timely delivery is to our community.

We just received an update from the post office regarding this week’s paper delivery. At this time, the only information provided to us is that there is currently a delay in Shreveport. They advised that papers should begin arriving tomorrow or the following day.

We sincerely apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience and understanding.
