Just like the rest of Marquette, we've been out enjoying ourselves at Hiawatha Music Co-Ops 45th annual Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival! As usual, it's going by too fast but the memories last forever! Some more fun activities are on the horizon Upper Peninsula Children's Museum on Saturday, July 19th from 1-3 for 'Super Science Fest'! Friends from the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum will be in the house to share their science programming. Free with admission or membership!

NORTH THIRD STREET CLOSURES
North Third Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Arch Street and Kaye Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Today July 17, 2025, for the Marquette DDA’s Music on Third Event. The Third Street and Hewitt Avenue intersection will remain open to east-west traffic. Signed detour routes will be provided around the closures.

If you have or know of kids who would enjoy hearing the Marquette City Band play music from "Sesame Street," "Frozen," "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Barbie's World" and "WICKED," please bring them to the Children's Concert this Thursday, July 17 at 7:30 pm at the new Kid's Cove Playground at the Lower Harbor Park!
There will be live characters (princesses and pirates) performing and a sing-along of "Let It Go" including any kids who want to participate. Children dressed in costume are welcome, and free ice cream will be available for the kids during the concert. Adults are welcome to attend as well!
