The Verbrovibe Amp

Based on the short lived 1963 Brown Vibroverb, built for about 4 months in 1963 with (reportedly) less than 600 ever made

They are very different tonally than the later black panel versions with the 15” speaker
Some of the differences to me…

Less shimmer with more mid range, coupled with 2-10” speakers, this model has earlier breakup with smaller transformers and lower voltages across the circuit, and to my ears are much warmer tone, really easy to find a sweet spot…plus it had my favorite Fender tremolo circuit, bias vary, which uses the power tube bias to create the Tremelo effect, fat and swampy!

There’s a reason why they sell for $15,000 on the used market, and it’s not just because of limited availability!!

I’ve always told people it’s my favorite amp in the 35 to 40 watt range!!

When you hear one, you’ll know why!
