✨ Hello everybody, this week for our employee spotlight I'm up to bat, so let's get into it.
My name's Mitch BakerMagrath, though you probably know me better by my on-air handle Magraw. I'm a broadcaster here at the stations, taking you through the mornings on KARL 105.1 & late nights on 99.7 KARZ. When I'm not on-air I'm also the person in charge of our social media. From designing graphics, to taking photos, helping coordinate part-timers for local sports, recording ads, & heading out with the Road Show I get to do a lot of different things. Which without a doubt is one of the things I love about working for Marshall Radio. A little bit more about me.
I graduated from SMSU's Communication: Broadcast/Digital Media program in May of 2022 and really had no idea what came next. Luckily I talked to Marshall Radio at a job fair that same summer and came aboard as a part-timer. Started out board-opping local sports, got to voice some ads, and took over late nights on KARZ.
Honestly I never thought radio would be where I ended up. I'm still learning, but it's been a really good fit where I can use my skillsets to augment what we do. I really enjoy getting to interact with the community, talk about weird and interesting things, & create things I'm proud of. If you hear a goofy voice in an ad, there's a good chance it's me.
When I'm not working I like to spend my time playing video games, drawing/painting/ or creating something, writing, binging a good piece of media, or cursing at my golf shot. If you see me around don't hesitate to say hi!
