The Marshall Police Department has received complaints of drivers not stopping for school buses on Main Street. Minnesota law requires all road users to stop at least 20 feet from school buses when they display their stop signals and flashing red lights, which includes drivers traveling in both directions on Main Street. Please refer to the attached graphic as a refresher of when to stop for a school bus. Thank you for your assistance with keeping our children safe!

✨For this week's employee spotlight we're taking a final look at our Brand Specialist team with a highlight of Specialist Claire Marron

Born and raised in Marshall, Claire graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication, with an emphasis in TV/Radio Broadcasting. Claire first joined the team at Marshall Radio in 2012 when she started working part-time as a board operator & on-air personality. During the summer of 2014, she expanded her knowledge with an internship at Marshall Radio. Seeking to learn all areas of the stations, she got her first taste of brand building with the sales side during the internship. Then in November 2014, when a Brand Specialist role opened, Claire jumped at the opportunity to grow her career with Marshall Radio - she's been doing sales and commercial production ever since!

As a Brand Specialist, Claire really enjoys getting to work with the people behind businesses and community organizations, getting hands-on experience with them, and building up brands with radio ads. When interacting with her clients, Claire's focus is on finding creative branding campaigns that make a splash across the airwaves. With a keen eye(and ear) for detail in the ads she creates, Claire loves being able to create an idea and then bring it to life in the production studio.

When she’s not at work, Claire stays plenty busy at home chasing after her 3 kids. You may even hear her daughter Leona every now and then on a radio commercial! Besides running after her rugrats, Claire enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes, relaxing while grilling out in the backyard with her husband, cherishing those spontaneous family outings and moments, & watching the Vikings on the weekend. And by that, she means enjoying a good veg-out session on the couch with some snacks and munchies while the Vikings are on in the background. She’s looking forward to the day when things can slow down a bit and she can find a hobby for some more "me time"... but right now, her heart is full raising & supporting her family.
