Milky Way Timelapse June 2016

Milky Way timelapse video shot on June 6th, 2016 in Marshfield MA. Had some issues with the lens fogging up. Chalk it up as another learning experiment!
p.s. Found out hand warmers wrapped around the lens should solve the problem.

Milky way star timelapse shot in Marshfield, MA. Equipment was a Canon 60Da and a Rokinon 24mm f1.4 lens. This was shot on June 6th from 11:30pm to 3:30am.

Last week, I was able to visit the Daniel Webster Sanctuary. Hiked out to Fox Hill and captured this shot of Mars and the surrounding stars. This location is very open so ended up finding an old tree limb to use as a foreground feature. Saturn is to the far left as well.

Last weekend I traveled to Berlin, NH to shoot a Milky way time-lapse and was joined by Doug Masters. Although the sky did not cooperate and the weather up on the mountain was a balmy 20 degrees with wind chill, we were able to catch a few seconds of the stars just before midnight. By then the cold had caught up with us and we called it a night. Chalk this one up as a learning exercise. Looking forward to the next one!
