You may see some meteorites in the night sky over the next month! It's the best meteor shower of the year! At the peak of the Perseides, you can see up to 100 per hour!

Viewing tips!

● No telescope needed
● Head out away from light pollution.
● Give yourself 15 minutes to let your eyes adjust.
● Meteorites can be seen anywhere in the sky.
● Give yourself at least an hour of view time to maximize your chances of seeing one.

Rainfall outlook today!

Like yesterday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day today across Indiana. Scattered means that NOT everyone will see rain today. The best chances for rain exist primarily across Northern Indiana, where a stationary boundry will be present throughout the day. Storms are expected to develop near or along that boundry.

While widespread severe weather is not expected today, a few storms may be strong. Like yesterday, a few storms may be strong with locally strong winds up to 60mph through bowing segments or heavy downburst/microbursts.

Isolated flash flooding is also possible today, especially areas that see multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Rainfall rates could exceed 2.00 inches per hour again today.
