When I visited Greece in June, I expected it to be beautiful, and it absolutely was. But what I wasn’t prepared for was how awestruck I would feel standing among so much history.

3 travel tips you’ll be VERY glad you followed when your travel day goes sideways… ✈️😂

Most of the time, travel plans go exactly as they should.

Flights are on time. Connections work. Luggage arrives. The travel stars align. ✨

And then… there are days like this one.

An equipment change causes a major flight delay, which turns into missed connections, standby flights, a canceled standby flight, more delays, an unexpected overnight at the Miami airport… and closed airline counters when you still need to recheck your bag. 😅

Oh, and after walking through the airport for 40 minutes trying to figure everything out, someone is watching a telenovela at FULL VOLUME with no earbuds.

Because apparently every travel disaster deserves a soundtrack. 😂

So, from a travel advisor who has seen a thing or two, here are 3 travel tips I wish every traveler would follow:

1️⃣ Use a travel advisor.
When everything goes perfectly, having a travel advisor makes vacation planning easier.

When everything doesn’t go perfectly? That’s when you really understand our value.

Put it right next to your passport. 😂

Because travel isn’t always perfect.

Flights get delayed. Connections get missed. Plans change. And sometimes you end up wandering around the Miami airport in the middle of the night while a stranger watches a telenovela at full volume.

Those are usually the stories you laugh about later. ❤️
