Hey Tim and Healthy and Fit Team: Im responding to your shout out for a cover story opportunity for your September 2018 issue. Well, Im so excited to put myself and my company, Shaka SUP Racing, in the mix. Im from Holt, MI, currently living in Indiana, and very familiar with your magazine. I still get a copy when Im in town and always did when I worked out at the YMCA. Great stuff! Shaka SUP Racing is a stand up paddle board and kayak event company hosting paddle racing events in Michigan and Indiana. This is our 3rd year and all our races are partial charity for local organizations. We are proud of how much we are able to give back, as well as using event tshirts made of 80% recycled plastic bottles. Supporting fitness, fun, competition, charities and helping to protect our beaches and waters are the reasons why my husband and I started Shaka SUP Racing. We would be honored for Healthy and Fit magazine to showcase everything we have to offer to the fitness community and our upcoming September 15th event, “Paddle for YOUR Cause” right around the corner. This 2nd year event supports Ingham County Animal Shelter, Kennedy’s Closet, Young Survival Coalition and Make-A-Wish Michigan.
