🌿Thursdays Thoughts 🌿
So many common plants that we take as weeds, nuisance, or overlook have benefits. Not only is it vital to learn how we can utilize these but use them safely 🌿 do our homework.
Some great personal guidelines I have always held are.....
🌿When in doubt ask questions!! Look into the herbs and plants you are trying. Learning the uses, precautions, and interactions of plants we are using is so important. People often forget plants/herbs can interact with each other, supplements , and even prescription medications. And not all are safe during pregnancy.
🌿Low and Slow. When trying something new, always ease in. You never know if it just won't agree with you. Or if you will need less/more than the commonly recommended amount. Also, our bodies are constantly changing. What helped in the past may not as you age and your body chemistry changes
🌿Always add one new thing at a time. Whether its herbs, teas, supplements, foods, essential oils, or any other new thing you are incorporating. That way you can tell exactly what has benefits and what does not.
🌿 Don't always seek dramatic results. Most often it is the consistent slow observation we see from a new herb, supplement, or lifestyle change that gives us the most impactful beneficial result.
🌿 Don't forget balance. A lot of times we get so focused on wanting to be as natural as we can that we forget there has to be balance 🌿 There is not a thing wrong with balance 🌿 there will be times when we can figure out a natural option and help our bodies heal all on its own, others may require a trip to the physician or a medication. And all of those things are individual and balanced health. As long as we are listening to our bodies, being diligent in our research and following our intuition we can find the right balance for our individual healthy life.
🌿Our bodies are all so unique and individual. What's right for one body may not be what's right for another.
I hope Thursday meets you all with good health, and an inquisitive mind.
🌿Go be the reason someone is reminded that there are still good people in the world 🌿
