The Hampton Inn-Mayfield is announcing a temporary closure following a rooftop fire that occurred on September 30th.
Thanks to the swift response of the Mayfield Fire Department and local emergency personnel, the fire was quickly contained, and all guests and team members were safely evacuated.
The hotel sustained smoke and water damage throughout portions of the building and will remain closed during the restoration and repair process. The Hampton Inn Mayfield is expected to reopen as soon as full safety inspections and property restoration are complete.
“The safety of our guests, team members, and community will always be our highest priority,” said Al Nathu, Owner. “We are grateful for the quick action of our local first responders and the support we’ve already received from the Mayfield community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back once the hotel is fully restored and better than ever.”
The property team is working closely with Hilton, restoration experts, and local authorities to ensure that all work meets the brand’s rigorous safety and quality standards.

On September 30th, a fire occurred at the Hampton Inn in Mayfield.

We are deeply grateful to the Mayfield Fire Department, Mayfield Police Department, Mayfield-Graves County EMS, and the Graves County Sheriff’s Department for their swift and professional response. Their quick action and teamwork made a tremendous difference, and we truly appreciate their service.

At this time, we do not have an update on the condition of the two workers who were injured, but we remain concerned for their well-being and recovery.

We expect to share more details next week as information becomes available.

The students met with our General Manager, Eddie Enlow, and enjoyed a tour of the property.

The group also learned how transient room taxes from local hotels like ours help support the community and grow tourism right here in Graves County 🌎💙 We loved hosting these future leaders! 👏🎓
