ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

My 15-year-old niece collapsed, unconscious, and they stood there.
Police walked by. The social worker just stared.
Her grandmother checked for a pulse — none.

The driver said, “I have another assignment and don’t have time to waste,” then put her in a vehicle.
She was not taken to the hospital that day.
The family was told a nurse was “waiting at the facility.”

She has a history of fainting and has been treated at Princess Alice and General Hospital.
She continues to faint at the facility, yet the family was never informed.

She has a history of running away, including trying to leave Grenada.
Authorities still can’t say who bought her ticket or housed her.
Instead, they punish her, ignoring the real problem.

She is not a criminal.
She’s acting out because the system failed her.
Decisions should protect her, not satisfy public opinion or village pressure.

All of a sudden, everyone is silent…
When her photo circulated, everyone had an opinion. You, you, and you.
Where are your voices now?
Or should I tag outside influencers to shine a light?

A child’s life is not a procedure.
Do better.

Welcome to the official page for Dakira’s movement.
Dakira is a smart, resilient young woman who has faced unimaginable challenges — not because she’s a criminal, but because she’s been caught in a system that too often breaks people instead of building them up.

We are fighting for humanitarian parole and a true second chance for her here in the U.S., where she can access the support and healing she needs. While her legal team prepares this request, we are also asking the court to postpone any further proceedings and take her full story into account.

This page will serve as the central place for:
• Updates on her case
• Ways you can support
• Letters and messages of solidarity
• Actions we’re taking to advocate for her future

We believe in Dakira — and we believe in second chances.
Please follow, share, and stand with us. Her story is just beginning.
