"🌮 Taco Bell–Style Mexican Pizza (Copycat Recipe)
🛒 Ingredients
For the base:
8 small flour tortillas
Oil (for frying or baking spray)
For the filling:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
½ cup water
1 cup refried beans
For the sauce:
½ cup enchilada sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Toppings:
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
½ cup diced tomatoes
¼ cup sliced black olives
2–3 green onions (chopped)
🔪 Instructions
1. Crisp the tortillas
Heat oil in a pan and fry each tortilla until golden and crispy.
(Or bake at 200°C / 400°F for 6–8 minutes, flipping once for a lighter option.)
Set aside on paper towels.
2. Cook the beef
In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning + water and simmer until thickened.
3. Prepare the sauce
Mix enchilada sauce, tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Heat briefly until warm.
4. Assemble the pizzas
Place one crispy tortilla on a baking tray.
Spread a layer of refried beans.
Add seasoned beef.
Top with a second tortilla (like a sandwich).
Spread sauce on top.
Sprinkle cheese evenly.
5. Bake
Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 8–10 minutes until cheese melts.
6. Add toppings & serve
Sprinkle tomatoes, olives, and green onions on top.
Slice into quarters and enjoy!
