Pete Hegseth also holds white nationalist views separating our soldiers into black and white. "America’s white sons and daughters are walking away, and who can blame them,” from his book “The War on Warriors: Behind the Betrayal of the Men Who Keep Us Free.”

For the record, when I served from 1996-2000, I served around more minorities than I've ever worked with at any job in my life, including in academia. The military was the first segment of our society to integrate. Our military has always been "woke" and it's helped us win wars. Diversity is our strength.

I am a military veteran. I served alongside men like Pete Hegseth. Mr. Hegseth is NOT qualified to lead our military. He's not qualified to lead a military base, much less our entire armed forces. No serious political leader could ever support his nomination for this job.
