Ashland High Football Coach Greg White will have a new Athletic Director on the sidelines this fall...who is no stranger to Grizzly football. Former Grizzly Coach Charlie Hall, who also was the HC at SOU and Phoenix High, has signed on to lead athletics at AHS as the new AD. Greg and Charlie joined us last week to talk about season #2 for Coach White and the transition to athletic administration for Hall. Grizz fans have a lot to be excited about this fall and beyond!

Congrats to our Jacksonville auto racer Tanner Holmes on his first win with Buch Motor Sports this first season. That didn't take long! The Ace is working on an interview with Tanner this week stay tuned!

Racing on the Rogue kicks off Saturday June 20 at Grants Pass Downs. Our horse racing expert Tag Wotherspoon from GP Downs joined us on Tee It Up going into opening weekend. The summer circuit features 7 race days including the Fourth of July weekend and some great promotions. Fans will appreciate the quality of the horses and riders that are showcased, the grandstands work that has been done as that is the start to bigger renovations, and the excitement as your horse is coming down the stretch! A standout at Ashland High, the Medford Mustangs, and Lassen Community College Jackson Rosenthal is home this summer to suit up with the Medford Rogues Baseball Club before he moves on to Hawaii Pacific University in August. Rosenthal hit .326 in his two years at Lassen including a .342 sophomore season that helped spark a playoff run. We caught up with Jackson on Tee It Up this week to learn how the opportunity to go to HPU came together. And to talk about playing another summer at Harry and David Field. The Rogues continue a homestand this weekend where you can catch Jackson in action!

Congratulations to Southern Oregon University Sports Information Director Josh McDermott and his staff on national and regional recognition of the Department's coverage efforts. Josh won the College Sports Communicators' 2025-26 Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest for his article on the Raiders improbable run to an NAIA Softball title with 7 straight wins through the elimination bracket last year. And for the second year in a row McDermott and assistant SID Isaac Fernandez won the CCC Mike Booth Award for Communicators Staff of the Year, the schools fourth overall in the 13 years McDermott has been SID. Josh joined us Monday on Tee It Up to take a bow and talk about how the Sports Information business has evolved on his watch.

Oregon State Wrestling continues to shine and bring home medals this spring through the USA Wrestling Beaver Dam Regional Training Center in Corvallis. Joel Adams recently won the US Open Senior 77kg Greco-Roman title to earn a trip to the World Championships in Kazakhstan in October. Adams also picked off anothen Pan Am Games gold last month to lead a contingent of Beavers who will be traveling the world to represent OSU in the months ahead. Adams and Assistant Coaches Brandon Kaylor and Cory Crooks joined us on Tee It Up Thursday to track the great results and international trips ahead for Beaver Dam RTC wrestlers.

Head Coach Justin Loftus and the Crater Track and Field program continue to churn out champions including 4 more and another 5 second place finishes at this years OSAA 5A championships at Hayward Field We featured 3K winner Brynn Davenport, 3 time javelin champion Nathan Lindbloom, 800 meter winner Max Miracle, and 1500 winner Preston Schmidt. joined us on Tee It Up Friday with Coach Loftus to highlight the boys second place and girls fifth place finish overall. In the girls 3K and boys 800 and 1500 meter races Crater runners finished 1-2.

Medford PGA Tour Pro Dylan Wu is gearing up for a good run of events in June and July ahead looking to find his groove after missing the last few cuts. He made a trip to Oregon for some work on his putting and continues to keep a good mindset working towards a breakout weekend. He also had a baseball appearance in May, throwing out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game on Northwestern University night.
