Day started off rocky getting Cru Boo off to school but once we left and did a little dilly dallying, peace came over me and I just started to Thank God for where I currently am in this season of my life and where I’m headed. ✨

With Cru starting school, this is all new to us and definitely an adjustment but I think I’m finally finding that balance a little. Not completely there yet, but I’m working on it. Taking everything day by day and step by step.

Sometimes appointments can be rough either way Cru, but this one was actually pretty okay! Literally since he’s been walking, this is the first time we could actually get him to be on the scale without having a big meltdown! It’s the small things that add us for us as autistic parents and I’m forever proud to be his mama and of the progress he’s making🥺! Just a little insight on a few challenges when it comes to Cru Boo 🙌🏽❤️

I was so honored to attend my girl’s baptism. Honestly, I haven’t been to church in so long, I just threw a quick outfit together, threw a jacket over my shirt, and went on! Turned out to be so nice & such a beautiful moment to witness. 🥺🫶🏽

Just a little transparency this afternoon. 🫶🏽

Truth is, sometimes it does feel like I’m conversating with myself, but I’ll continue to do that with him so he knows “there is someone wanting to talk to me, there is someone interested in getting to know me, there is someone who’s trying to understand me and that’s my mommy.”

At the end of it all, I know he hears me. I know there is so much he’s probably wanting to say back. This is why I understand the meltdowns, the tantrums, the overwhelming feelings because if I couldn’t verbalize certain things, I’d probably react the same way too!

I’d also like to add, Cru isn’t completely nonverbal. I don’t even like to speak that anymore simply because he does say certain things to me, he does sing songs and you can tell exactly what he’s saying, he’s very smart with letter and numbers. He simply just doesn’t hold a conversation like you and I yet, but I know that day is coming! ❤️

We had the best day celebrating our boy! ❤️ It never takes too much to make him happy and see him smile! We enjoyed our intimate family time! 5 added to his book! It’s truly a blessing to see another year of life! 🎈✨🧩

Packing Cru Boo’s lunch has been so much fun! He’s such a picky eater, it’s no way I could allow him at school without some of his favorite things that he likes that are also nutritious as well! 🫶🏽 We love for his fav fruit snacks and rolls & has always been a staple in our household! ❤️
