If a new job opportunity opens for your husband, are you equipped to help him prepare to meet with a church’s search team? Since pastors’ wives are usually part of these conversations, it’s important that we understand what to ask and what to listen for so we can support our husbands as we prayerfully consider these decisions together. My husband Greg joins me to discuss some of these topics:
* common steps in this type of interview journey
* how to answer their questions
* what questions to ask them
* what to listen for
* how to recognize if you’re not a good fit
* what role the wife plays in this process
Packed with thoughtful, practical information, this podcast will equip you both to effectively navigate your next adventure with a search team. You’ll want to save and share this one! Click link in bio or here to listen—https://MarriedtotheMinistry.org/podcast/

Will you be relocating to a new town this summer? Moving has been ranked as one of life’s most stressful experiences. It can be a hard, exhausting, expensive, frustrating, lengthy process. As a veteran of 24 moves, I’ve got some tips for you that I’ve learned about packing, hauling stuff, and settling in. I’ve moved as a child myself and with our children, as well as back into houses that didn’t sell. We’ve hired moving companies and we’ve also done it all ourselves. Check out Married to the Ministry for ways you can prepare your home and family for a new address without losing your sanity in the process.

One of the hardest aspects of ministry life can be determining if God is leading us out of our current church into a new place of service. Since so many pastors’ wives will at some point face this question, “How to Know When It’s Time to Go” is the topic of our latest podcast.

-When should we NOT leave our current ministry?
-How do we pray through unexpected job offers when we’re happy where we are?
-Is it okay to say no to a new opportunity?

Greg and I have navigated these decisions as pastor and wife for the past 25 years, so he joins me to talk about some of the lessons we’ve learned about leaving. If you’ve never walked through this type of decision before, you probably will at some point. I hope our conversation helps you see the Lord’s clear direction when it’s your turn to go.
