Hardest part of shooting is coming up with a storyline nobody handed you. So build it before you show up: give AI the rundown and ask what the recap could look like, then tweak and build your own shot list from that.

When the story is in your head before you record, the recap cuts like you were there all day.

Keep a clean house (or recording space) & you'll always be able to record.

If your house looks "lived in" - it takes more time to decide where to record content. But if you can reduce the time by having a clean space you can go to everytime then you won't have a problem.

Ps. I know some of you have whole families and keeping a spotless, camera ready home is easier said than done. Hear me out, all you need is a clean corner of a room and you should be straight lol

Love ya'll

A great speaker will have you in a trance if you're not careful

Our clients are the best in the world at what they do, and they can all hold a room. That's the problem lol

You might stop recording because you think they're talking to you! To stay locked in you gotta constantly be searching for the next shot, inspecting the shots you already took & anticipating what will happen next.

This will keep you a shooter instead of an attendee.

Has this happened to you or anyone you know?

Trust is a two-way street, but most videographers only expect the client to drive it.

Flip that. Be upfront with your pricing. Show them your process. Remove the mystery so they don’t feel like they’re getting hustled.

When clients see you extend trust first, they’ll meet you there. And when they trust you, they stop shopping for “cheaper” and start sticking with you.

You think undercharging makes you “affordable,” but it actually makes you look unqualified.

If your rate doesn’t match the value of your gear, your skill, or your time, clients question everything else. They’ll micromanage. They’ll doubt. They won’t respect you.

Because if you don’t take your work seriously enough to charge properly, why should they? Value yourself and watch how differently clients treat you.

Rejection isn’t what holds most videographers back—it’s the fear of it.

Fear keeps you from posting content. Fear keeps you from quoting the real price. Fear keeps you stuck in comparison mode, playing to peers instead of clients.

The irony? Rejection is where growth lives. Every “no” sharpens you for the “yes” that matters. If you can learn to stomach rejection, you’ll stop surviving and finally start scaling.

A quick gig with a small check feels nice for a moment, but it won’t sustain you.

The real money—and the real impact—comes from long-term relationships where clients see you as part of their business growth. That only happens when you take the time to understand what they actually need, what success looks like for them, and what budget they’ve set aside.

Short-term cash is cool. Long-term trust builds wealth.

Most videographers don’t stay broke because of bad work. They stay broke because they think better gear and sharper edits will magically fix their bank account.

Truth is, your creative skill can be world-class, but if your business skills are still entry-level, your income will stay there too. You don’t need a new camera—you need clarity on pricing, sales, and strategy.

Growth doesn’t come from equipment—it comes from ex*****on.
