If you want to know how my week is going, I just put a pillowcase over my head thinking it was an oversized t-shirt.

Instead of immediately realizing my mistake, I spent way too long searching for the neck hole before mumbling,

What the hell is this?

Also me: "Why is this house so quiet?" 🤔

5 minutes later...

"I miss my kids. Maybe I should go get them." 🥺😂❤️

Motherhood is basically wanting a break and then missing them the second you get one. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Well, dinner is over and my heart is full. 💜

The kids are having a sleepover at Mee-Maw's, which meant this mama got a rare night off. I fixed my hair, put on a little makeup, wore something other than my usual work-and-mom uniform, and went out to dinner with a friend I haven't seen in a long time.

It was one of those where you pick right back up where you left off, laugh until your cheeks hurt, and forget about life's stresses for a little while.

Being a single mom, working, paying bills, running a household, and trying to keep everything together can be a lot some days. It's easy to get caught up in taking care of everyone else and forget that you need a little care too.

Tonight was a reminder that it's okay to take a break, enjoy yourself, and refill your own cup every once in a while.

Now I'm home with a full belly, a happy heart, and absolutely zero regrets about getting out of the house. Although, let's be honest... my pajamas are calling my name. 😂
