🇺🇸 Comm’r Andy Gipson Announces the huge schedule of events taking place today, Saturday, October 4, through Sunday, October 5, 2025. All events take place on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds.
The Tri-State Rodeo kicks off this evening, October 4, at 8:00 p.m. inside the Kirk Fordice Equine Center. In addition, award-winning artist Cory Asbury will perform inside the Mississippi Coliseum this Sunday, October 5, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for the concert can be purchased online at www.msstatefair.com or in person at the Coliseum Box Office; admission to the fair is free with the purchase of any concert ticket.
For the first time ever, the Dixie National Rodeo Queen Pageant will be held during the Mississippi State Fair. Fairgoers will have the chance to watch talented cowgirls from around the Southeast compete in the horsemanship portion of the pageant today, October 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Taste of the Dixie National Rodeo Arena for free. Then, for only $10 admission on Sunday, October 5, at 6:00 p.m., catch the final portion of the pageant and witness the crowning of the new Miss Dixie National, Junior Miss Dixie National and Dixie National Princess inside the Mississippi Coliseum. Children ages 5 and younger will receive free admission.
The 166th Mississippi State Fair, which runs October 2-13, is participating in the Great American State Fair initiative as part of the nationwide America250 celebrations. Fairgoers are encouraged to wear red, white and blue, and special, patriotic events will be held throughout the duration of the fair. Find the complete schedule of fair events at www.msstatefair.com.
