Today, we honor and remember the men and women who have served our nation with courage, integrity, and selflessness.

Across Tennessee, many of our professional firefighters continue to serve both their country and their communities — demonstrating the same dedication and commitment that define our profession.

The Tennessee Professional Firefighters Association proudly recognizes all veterans within our ranks and across the state. Your sacrifice and service protect not only our freedoms but also the lives of those we serve every day.

🎖️ Thank you, Veterans.
Your strength and devotion continue to inspire the fire service and all who call Tennessee home. 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the brave men and women across Tennessee who answer the call — day or night — to protect our communities. Firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and all emergency responders continue to serve with courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication.

Your sacrifices at home, on the fireground, and in the medical field do not go unnoticed. From the large-scale emergencies to the day-to-day calls that change lives, Tennessee is safer because of YOU.

Thank you for standing the watch.
Thank you for serving with heart.

Stay safe. Stay strong.

TPFFA members don’t just respond to emergencies — they serve their communities in every way they can.

This weekend, our brothers and sisters from the Wilson County Firefighters Association Local 4238 hosted their Annual Public Safety Trunk-or-Treat. The event provides a safe and fun place for families to enjoy Halloween while meeting the firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and law enforcement officers who protect them every day.

We’re proud of all of our TPFFA locals who go above and beyond the call of duty — not just in emergencies, but in building strong, connected communities across Tennessee.

The work done here ensures that Tennessee’s firefighters continue to have a strong voice in the halls of government and within our communities.

We are proud to announce the results of the 2025–2027 Executive Board and Committee elections. Congratulations to all those elected to serve and represent firefighters across Tennessee.

Day 2 is in the books!

Today we heard from International Association of Fire Fighters General President Edward A. Kelly and Frank Lima - IAFF GST, as well as Senator Becky Massey, Knoxville City Councilman Andrew Roberto, Knoxville Fire Deputy Chief Robert Cheesman , and many of our incredible sponsors who help make this event possible.

The business session officially opened, and delegates began working through the first round of resolutions.

A special congratulations to newly named Trustee Emeritus Perry Cathey — your many years of service and support for not only the Memphis Fire Fighters Association, but also the Tennessee Professional Firefighters, have left a lasting impact.

Perry’s welcoming personality and commitment to mentoring new local leaders have strengthened our organization and the future of our profession.

Local 820 leadership and members with prior military experience attended the 2025 Patriot Gala with 30 recipients of the Medal of Honor in attendance. An amazing night.
