Discernment gets easier when you stop asking everyone what they think.

Not every opinion deserves access to your peace.

Whether it’s motherhood, healing, or major life decisions, learn to be intentional about whose voice you allow to influence your path.

The loudest voice isn’t always the wisest.

Trust the wisdom God is growing in you šŸ¤šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø.

My Birthday (34 šŸŽ‰) definitely hit so different this year!

Reflecting on new adventures to come both personally (becoming a first-time mom) & professionally — as I reimagine serving motherhood, specifically, with breathwork services šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø. Nope, that business is NOT over, just figuring it out over here / bringing a new season of visions to life āœØšŸ’.

Wild the changes that are coming, and it’s hard to believe this time last year I literally journaled that pregnancy was the last thing I wanted. God’s timing is surprising, sometimes. But always right on time.

Here’s to 34 and what this new season brings! šŸ’ƒšŸŽ‚.

TOMORROW I’ll be 30 weeks 🄹. There’s been so much presence throughout the journey, so far. Hopeful that continues. Celebrated 30 weeks with a maternity photoshoot on Thursday, 30 squats (today), & swipe to see what I got this morning at breakfast thepullmanblueridge šŸ˜‹šŸ‘‰.

P.S: I didn’t expect this outfit to fit right, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s from MOMANDA šŸ¤maternity! But it can work for postpartum too! SO soft!

Maybe peace isn’t always stolen by tragedy.

Sometimes it’s stolen by anticipation.

By rehearsing conversations that haven’t happened.

By imagining outcomes we cannot control.

By carrying tomorrow’s weight before tomorrow has even arrived.

We can become so focused on what might happen that we miss the grace God is already giving us for what is happening.

Fear often lives in the ā€œwhat if.ā€

Peace invites us back to the ā€œwhat is.ā€

Back to this breath.

This moment.

This season.

This evidence that God is already here.

Matthew 6:34 wasn’t merely practical advice to stop worrying.

It was an invitation to trust.

To trust that today’s grace is enough for today’s assignment.

To trust that we do not need to emotionally live every possible future before it arrives.

And to trust that tomorrow’s grace will meet us when tomorrow does.

I’m learning that peace is not always found by gaining more certainty.

Sometimes it is found by releasing the future and returning to the present.

What anticipation has been quietly stealing your peace lately? šŸ¤

The bath in epsom salt was worth it though šŸ›šŸ™ƒ.

People don’t always need preparation.

Sometimes they just need presence.

šŸ¤

If this resonated with you, I’d love to hear:

What’s one ā€œjust wait...ā€ comment you’ve received that made you wish someone had simply met you where you were instead?

The longer I’m pregnant, the more I notice how often people skip over someone’s present to talk about their future.

ā€œJust wait until labor...ā€

ā€œJust wait until the sleepless nights...ā€

ā€œJust wait until she’s crawling...ā€

I know these comments are usually well-intended. They’re often someone’s way of relating through their own experience.

But sometimes I wonder if we’ve forgotten how to simply be with someone in the season they’re actually living.

One of the greatest gifts my breathwork training gave me wasn’t just learning how to regulate my own nervous system.

It taught me how to set my own thoughts, stories, and experiences aside long enough to truly be present with someone else’s.

To listen without jumping ahead.

To resist making their moment about my past.

To meet people where they are instead of where I imagine they’re headed.

Is that always easy?

Not at all.

It’s a practice.

But I’ve learned that presence is one of the greatest gifts we can give another person.

So at 28 weeks pregnant, I’m not trying to prepare for newborn sleep deprivation, toddler tantrums, or the next hundred milestones.

I’m preparing for the third trimester.

Because Matthew 6:34 reminds us:

ā€œTherefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.ā€

I’m choosing to be fully here.

And when those next seasons arrive...

I’ll embrace them then, trusting my God-given gut šŸ¤.

What about you?

Have you ever felt like people skipped over your present to prepare you for your future?
