Ketanji Brown Jackson made history in April 2022 as the first Black woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
In 2013, Brown Jackson was appointed the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, becoming the youngest judge on the court at the time. She quickly gained a reputation as a fair and impartial judge who was unafraid to make tough decisions.
In 2022, President Joe Biden nominated Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court, calling her "a trailblazer who personifies the best of America." Her confirmation was historic and significant, as she became the first Black woman to serve on the highest court in the land.
Ketanji Brown Jackson's achievements serve as an inspiration to women of all backgrounds, particularly Black women, who continue to face obstacles and discrimination in many fields.
