25 years after the September 11th attacks, hundreds of volunteers in Memphis are honoring the lives lost through service.

Volunteers gathered at FedExForum to pack 175,000 meals for local families in need, with the meals going to the Mid-South Food Bank for distribution across the community.

Memphis Police have completed their investigation and forwarded the case to the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office for review.

Winter’s family and their attorneys are set to hold a press conference this morning as they continue pushing for answers and accountability.

Winter, who was autistic and nonspeaking, died after her family says she was left on a daycare bus for several hours.

Memphis Athletics is promising improvements after fans raised concerns about parking, stadium entry, concessions and access to water during the Tigers’ first home game in the newly renovated Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

The Tigers return home Sept. 19.

The Senatobia Board of Aldermen voted to fire Police Chief Harold Vanderford after he submitted his resignation Tuesday.

The move comes days after city leaders met with Vanderford about private text messages.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who represents the family of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley, says the firing was the right decision but is again calling for the release of video and findings connected to Kohen’s death.

Memphis City Council could move one step closer today to temporarily pausing new data center development across the city.

The proposed moratorium is up for its second reading and would pause the processing and approval of many new data center permits while city leaders study permanent regulations.

Even if it passes today, it would still need a third and final vote before becoming law.
