DAY 12: The Pruning

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope everyone is having a splendid day with family and friends, or just simply resting. 😌 I’m here with the next song of the , titled “The Pruning.”

I started writing it in 2018, when I was 18 years old 😭 I initially wanted to title it “Serve the Lord,” but then I read the book of John and I was so inspired by it that I decided to write “The Pruning” instead! 🥹

I hope this blesses someone on today. Based on John 15, and His’ endless love for us 🩷🩷🩷 thank you, Father for the gift of songwriting!

DAY 10: Get it Right

Good evening everyone!! I know I’m super duper late but the music had me stuck chile! 🥹 if you’re a songwriter, you know how it feels to have writers block. But, I’m back with a new song for y’all: Get it Right!

It’s a rewrite of the original version that I actually completed in 2021; this one has a more subtle tone than the original version, which was a bit saddening. 😩

DAY 6: Brand New

Hiiii everyone! I am back with day six of the with today’s song, “Brand New.”

I started writing it in 2021, when I was senior in college. The song’s trajectory has taken a turn, but it actually sounds pretty good, especially with the original version I had planned! 🫣

I wrote this song with my superstar cousin in mind. I can definitely hear his voice on this one! 🫶🏽🫶🏽

DAY 3: Late Blooming

Happy Sunday!! I’m back with the third song for the , which is titled “Late Blooming.” 🌺

I wrote this song a couple of years ago but failed to follow through with writing the bridge (I hate writing them 🥹). I added one towards the end so let me know what you guys think of it!

Also, I wrote this one about me being a late bloomer in life; it seems like I catch on to things a little than others do, but it’s perfectly fine. We’re all special in our own ways! 🙂

DAY 2: I Decided

Hey y’all! I l know I’m superrr late but here’s the second song for the . It’s titled “I Decided,” and I wrote it back in 2017 (when I graduated from high school 😭)! Whew, that’s a long time!

For this one, I simply tweaked it and made it into an actual song; it was pretty much a journal entry, but I gave it a hook and shortened it A LOT!

Also, who do you hear on this one? I wrote it in the mind of , which is around the same time as the release of her album, CTRL. 🎶🎶

DAY 1: S.C.W (Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda)

First song of the challenge is here! It’s called “S.C.W” and I started writing it back in 2021. The song pretty much needed a chorus, so I came up with this 💆🏼‍♀️
