Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m choosing to stop worrying about everything I can’t control and bring it all to You instead. Your word in Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God, You’re the only one who can truly fix what I’m carrying right now, and tonight I’m coming to You instead of trying to figure it out on my own. Thank You for being patient with me through every trial and for promising to walk me through it. Let Your peace stand guard over my thoughts and my feelings while I sleep. I give this night to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. -Psalm 55:22

Imagine being loved by someone who regularly takes you before God.

Someone who says,

“I may not always know what to do for you, but I know Who to take you to.”

That’s beautiful.

So pray for the people you love.

Pray for the ones who are struggling.

Pray for the ones who are celebrating.

Pray for the ones who are far from God.

Pray for the ones who hurt you.

Pray for the ones who will never know you prayed.

And when you don’t know what to say,

just say their name before Jesus.

Prayer may not always look like love to the world.

But heaven knows.

Because sometimes love doesn’t look like fixing someone’s problems.

Sometimes love looks like kneeling before the One who can.

There are many ways to say,

“I love you.”

But one of the most beautiful is:

“I prayed for you.”

God Guides Our Life

Have you ever faced something unexpected? Maybe it was a surprise that brought you joy, or a tragedy that greatly affected your life. All of us experience moments in life that we don’t anticipate.

Even though unexpected things will happen, we still plan and dream for how our lives will go. We may have plans for our future education, or plans for specific relationships in our lives. But we can't fully plan for the unexpected—since we cannot know the future. We don’t even know what might happen in the next few minutes.

We learn in Scripture that God is all-knowing, which means He knows everything that will happen everywhere in the world. He has complete knowledge of every event and action that happens. More than that, He is also sovereign, which means He has ultimate control over everything that happens in the world.

That means that even though we make our plans, God is ultimately the one who directs our steps. He has the power to change the direction of our lives, as well to as guide us into what’s best for us.

Take some time to think about the dreams and plans that you have for your life. Have you ever submitted those plans to God in prayer? This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t make plans for your life, but rather, whatever you plan should not come before God’s plans for your life.

Take a moment to ask God to direct your steps. Ask Him to reveal any desires or plans that are not from Him. Submit your plans to God so that you’ll be open to follow Him wherever He leads you. Thank Him for His goodness and grace in guiding your life.

Make sure we recognize the meaning of the words we use. Be intentional to use our tools to research the meaning of the words we use. Remember words we use have several meanings so do a word study and ensure we use them properly as meant in the Words of God and not as the world with much clarity. Remember we fail for a lack of knowledge and we hear and know in part.

The Power of Words

Words have power.

We use thousands of them every day to communicate. They help us share joy and sadness. They help us learn and grow. We use them to build each other up—or to tear each other down. And yet, we often underestimate the impact of our words.

Are you giving thought to the words you speak over yourself or about others daily? Are the words rooted in doubt, fear, and insecurity, or do they come from the truth, goodness, and security in God’s promises? How many times are they used through the Words of God's and how are they used for our clarity!

In Psalm 46:1, the Psalmist makes a powerful declaration of God's truth and promise: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

And this declaration leads to action in the next verse: “Therefore we will not fear” (verse 2).

Our declarations have the power to guide our actions. So what is it that you are declaring? Maybe today, you need the reminder to speak the truth of the words that come from God—your refuge, strength, and ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

As God's child, you have been given freedom in Christ to choose and use words wisely (Colossians 4:6, Ephesians 4:29).

So today, as you remember that God is your refuse and strength, choose words of life. May your tongue be an instrument of blessing, as you declare what is true, pure, admirable, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

To uncover the true definitions and nuances of the original languages of Scripture (Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the New Testament), you need to move beyond standard English dictionaries and use specialized biblical reference tools.

1. Lexicons (The Specialized Dictionaries)A lexicon is a dictionary specifically designed for ancient languages, providing the range of meaning, etymology (word roots), and historical context of a word.

2. Concordance & Numbering Systems Concordances help you locate every time a specific word appears in the Bible so you can compare its usage in different contexts.

Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance: Assigns a unique number to every Hebrew (OT) and Greek (NT) word. It allows English speakers to trace a root word across different verses even if translated using different English words.

The New International Critical Concordance / Goodrick-Kohlenberger: Another robust system used for precise numbering linked directly to modern translations.

3. Expository and Theological Dictionaries. These bridge the gap between pure linguistics and theology, explaining how a word functions in biblical arguments.

Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words: Excellent for everyday students who want clear definitions tied to English concepts.

TWOT (Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament) and TDNT (Theological Dictionary of the New Testament): In-depth multi-volume sets exploring the rich theological background of biblical terms.

4. Interlinear Bibles & Software Interlinear Bibles: Display the original Hebrew or Greek text directly alongside a literal English translation and grammatical tags word-by-word. Free digital versions are widely available on platforms like Bible Hub.

Digital Bible Software: Comprehensive programs like Logos Bible Software bundle lexicons, interlinears, Bible Gateway, Blue Letter Bible and reverse-search tools into a single interface for instant word analysis.

Dear God, thank You for this new day. I lift Your name on high and ask that it would be You I follow today, not idols, not people, not anything this world offers. Your word in Romans 5:3-5 says, “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” God, help me put on the full armor today, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the shield of faith, so I can stand firm against whatever comes my way. Give me a heart that’s relentless in prayer and a spirit that doesn’t give up. I trust that my labor today is not in vain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. -James 1:12

The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. — Psalm 145:13

I know God will never fail.

And if He says wait, I’ll wait.

If He says move, I’ll move.

If He closes a door, I’ll trust Him.

If He opens one, I’ll walk through it.

Whatever He asks,

my answer will be yes.

Because my confidence isn’t in my circumstances.

My confidence is in God.

He has been faithful before.

He is faithful now.

And He will remain faithful tomorrow.

So even when I’m tired,

I won’t quit.

Even when I’m disappointed,

I won’t stop believing.

Even when I can’t see the answer,

I won’t stop praying.

Because sometimes the breakthrough comes right after the moment you feel like giving up.

And sometimes God is doing His deepest work in the season where you see the least evidence.

Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. — Habakkuk 2:3

So I will wait.

I will trust.

I will endure.

And I will keep my eyes on Jesus.

Because my story isn’t over.

God isn’t finished.

And as long as He is still writing,

I refuse to put a period where God has only placed a comma.

I may not know what tomorrow holds,

but I know who holds tomorrow.

And that is enough to keep me going.

Dear God, thank You for this new day and for Your word that reminds me I’m going to be okay. Your word in John 16:33 says, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” God, this year has been one of the hardest of my life, but I’m holding onto the truth that You’ve never lost a battle and You’ve been faithful through every single one of mine. Dry my tears today and help me stand firm on Your promises. Remind me that You’ve given me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind, not fear. No matter what today brings, You’re the same yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. -Psalm 46:7

Father, thank You for giving each of us gifts, talents, abilities, and opportunities to serve You. Remind us that there is work for all of us to do in Your Kingdom.

Lord, don’t allow us to simply sit and watch when You have called us to serve. Show us where we are needed. Give us willing hearts, helping hands, and humble spirits that understand that no assignment is too small when it is done for Your glory.

Help us to recognize that what You placed inside of us was not given just for us. Use our personalities, experiences, talents, and skills to strengthen Your church, encourage Your people, and advance Your Kingdom.

Lord, help us move from membership to ministry, from sitting to serving, and from watching the work to becoming part of the work.

May everything we do in Your house ultimately point people back to You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
