Be careful! Your mouth might be cutting off your blessings! 7 phrases a Christian should never say. The devil wants you to skip this, but God wants you to read it all! Especially the last one!
First: "Good luck."
If you believe in God, you shouldn't say "good luck" anymore. Good or bad luck doesn't really exist; everything is in God's control. We should rely on God's guidance and help, not on random luck.
Second: "Oh my God."
This is the most common phrase I hear on TV and in life. "Oh my God, "Oh my goodness," and their variations, spoken casually, show no reverence for God and are not a genuine cry to Him. Instead, they take the Lord's name in vain. Remember the third of the Ten Commandments? "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain."
Third: "He/She is in heaven now."
No one can truly know if a person is saved; that is God's sovereign right. The Bible says that no one has ascended to heaven except Christ (see John 3:13), not even David, a man after God's own heart (see Acts 2:29, 34).
Fourth: "You're going to hell."
Salvation and judgment are in God's hands, not in our mouths. We have no right to judge another person's final destination.
Fifth: "We are all God's children."
Many have heard this countless times, but not all who believe in the Lord are children of God. 1 John 3:10 says, "In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother." Our actions will reveal who we are.
Sixth: "Believe in the Lord and you will be saved."
Don't use this as an excuse not to pursue a deeper faith. Confessing the Lord's name is important, but truly following Him is the key. Don't be satisfied with being a "Sunday Christian." Ask yourself, has your faith borne fruit?
Seventh: "God will always love me."
Many think, "God will always love me, so it doesn't matter what I do." But God's love is not indulgence, nor does it allow us to continue in sin. As Hebrews 10:26 says, if we sin willfully, we will lose His forgiveness and blessing.
Have you said these 7 phrases? If not, congratulations! If you have, it's not too late to change.
The truth is, in our everyday lives, we are all entangled in a bitter struggle with sin: words spoken in anger, acts of selfishness, and the secret battles with resentment and jealousy, etc. All these sins, big and small, are seen by God.
Dear brothers and sisters, for the sake of your own destination, don't delay any longer. While there is still a chance, repent today, turn to Christ, accept Him as your Savior, and receive a life full of abundance and love.
