Where is the LOVE?

Psalm 119:163 — "I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love."

Do you love the Law of God? Are you sure? All of it? Or just the parts that agree with your culture and aren't controversial? Are christians allowed to love and teach God's law anymore? To meditate on it and keep it? Sounds like "legalism" according to todays "christian". But God says,

John 14:15 — "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

1 John 5:3 — "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

We cannot keep what we do not know.

Hosea 4:6a — "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge"

Lol, Wow! Some of the leftists are getting close to figuring things out. Only, according to God's Word it's not just when a woman conceives but the very act of s*x that demands marriage. God built this directly into a woman's "hardware" if you catch my meaning.

Exodus 22:16

Pastors and teachers today will only site historical context when it is convenient for them. When inconvenient, cultural differences are used to overrule historical context.

Just one example of this: I once asked a pastor a question, he had recently taught that we can't use our modern culture to interpret the bible but then said it was rude to preach publicly. I asked why he said it was rude to preach publicly today but it wasn't rude for the early church to preach publicly as seen in scripture. He said "because of the culture". Beware of the leaven of pastors--learn what this means.
