One of the simplest ways to support neurodivergent children is to make the invisible visible.
Tara Williams, our podcast guest this week, shares why visuals can be so powerful. Many neurodivergent learners process information in a very concrete way, which means abstract concepts, figures of speech, and verbal explanations alone can sometimes miss the mark.
Instead of just telling, show.
Use pictures. Demonstrate the concept. Hold up the object. Draw it out. Act it out. Pair your words with something they can see and connect to.
Sometimes the bridge to better communication isn't saying more. It's making it visual. ๐โจ
