--Sports meets Society News: Marlins' center-field preoccupied--

Sundays usually are the dull nights of the local clubbing scene yet there's always something to report no matter how insignificant ... this spot shall not be empty.

Seen out partying on South Beach's Bar-Strip, Marlin's center-fielder Alexander Vaughn with an unknown model as seen on this shot taken by a trusted party-photographer. Not much is yet known about the obviously blossoming romance but we will keep you posted.

Will this throw a wrench into the upcoming season or simply add yet another candy to the sidelines to watch?! Stay tuned ...

--Three men shot in Miami; one left in critical condition.--

Miami police were investigating a shooting Thursday evening that left three men injured, one of them critically.

Officers arrived at the scene at the corner of North Miami Avenue and Northeast 84th Street around 4 p.m. and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami Fire Rescue workers. The third victim was taken to the hospital by a friend.

Police spokesman Freddie Cruz said officials have no leads on suspects and said the investigation was “up in the air.” He said police are not sure about a motive or if the incident was gang or drug related.
