Biography of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity, believed by Christians to be the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. He was born in Bethlehem around 4–6 B.C. to Mary and Joseph. His birth is celebrated around the world as Christmas.

Jesus grew up in Nazareth, a town in Galilee. At about 30 years old, he began his public ministry, preaching about the Kingdom of God, love, forgiveness, and salvation. He performed many miracles, including healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and raising the dead.

His teachings attracted many followers, but also led to opposition from religious leaders. Jesus was eventually arrested, tried, and crucified under the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Christians believe that Jesus died for the sins of humanity and rose from the dead three days later — an event celebrated as Easter.

His life and message are recorded in the New Testament of the Bible. Jesus' teachings have had a profound impact on the world and continue to inspire millions of people today.
