🇳🇴 Norway has unveiled a stunning Viking-themed team photo as excitement builds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Captured by renowned photographer David Yarrow in Oslo, the image features the Norwegian squad dressed in Viking-inspired attire beside a scenic fjord, with traditional longboats in the background. The photoshoot pays tribute to Norway's rich history and the famous Viking Row tradition embraced by its supporters. ⚔️🔥
The World Cup will mark Norway's first appearance on football's biggest stage since 1998. The squad is led by captain Martin Ødegaard and star striker Erling Haaland, giving fans plenty to be excited about heading into the tournament.
Although Ødegaard was unable to attend the photoshoot due to the Champions League final, he was later digitally added to the final image. A separate photo featuring the coaching and technical staff was also created.
The Norwegian Football Federation said the Viking theme was chosen to celebrate the team's unity, national pride, and cultural heritage as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. 🇳🇴⚽
