Well it’s actually a little more complicated than that. ⚾️ On June 5, 1985 the Cubs were playing the Braves - and that’s the game on TV at the pizza place when Principal Rooney is looking for Ferris. 🎬 But the scenes inside Wrigley Field, where Ferris catches the foul ball? That was filmed months later on Sept 24 against the Expos. 🎞️ Thanks to some editing (and powder blue uniforms on both visiting teams), John Hughes made two games feel like they were part of one perfect day off.
