Tonto D**e posted a 'Happy New Month' message on her social media on August 1st. Instead of her fellow Nigerians reciprocating with good wishes, they are dragging her through the mud. When we perused her comments section, we were astonished to find some followers asking questions like, "Where is Mobhad's hair?" and "Who created that WhatsApp group?" Some followers expressed their disappointment, seeing her name involved in such matters. At this point, we would advise Tonto to consider doubling her security if she wants to walk on any street in Nigeria.

Ghana President Mahama Assures Nigeria No Place For Xenophobia

President of Ghana, John Mahama has asked Nigeria's President, Bola Tinubu, "not to lose sleep" over the viral video on social media that sparked protests against Nigerians resident in Ghana.

The Ghanaian President gave assurances when he met with Nigeria's delegation led by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu on a two day visit to Ghana.

In a statement, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs noted that John Mahama has assured the safety of Nigerians, their property and businesses in Ghana.

Bianca Ojukwu noted that Ghana's President stated that "there is no place for xenophobia in Ghana and he reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to ECOWAS protocols on free movement of people and goods.

She clarified that their mission was to douse the tension in Ghana following viral video against Nigerians and informed John Mahama on her engagement with the Nigerian community, urging them to adhere to Ghana's laws.

Bianca Ojukwu also stated that the visit was equally to facilitate the establishment of a permanent Nigeria - Ghana Joint Commission to assist address regional concerns such as youth restiveness, Migration and trafficking.

The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has backed the introduction of compulsory and random drug integrity tests for students in tertiary institutions across the country.

The minister said this during a meeting with the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa.

In a statement yesterday, the minister also approved a review of the current secondary school curriculum to incorporate updated drug education and committed to forming an inter-ministerial working group with the NDLEA.
