On Wednesdayā€™s edition of The Joe Rose Show, Joe broke down whatā€™s really going wrong with the Miami Dolphinsā€™ offense after an 0ā€“3 start. While the defense has been far from perfect, Rose made it clear the offense is the teamā€™s biggest disappointment, saying, ā€œWe still have one of the fastest offenses in footballā€¦" but itā€™s not producing.

He pointed to a wasted running game (averaging 5.2 yards per carry but the fewest attempts in the NFL) and Tua Tagovailoaā€™s inconsistency as key culprits. Rose emphasized that the excuses need to stop, reminding fans that Tua just signed his massive contract and now must elevate his play: ā€œGrab a mirrorā€¦ itā€™ll tell you the truth every time. Youā€™ve got to play better.ā€

The conversation also touched on Mike McDanielā€™s play-calling, the constant reliance on short passes, and the frustration with swing screens that too often go backward. With a must-win matchup against the Jets looming, Rose said the Dolphins canā€™t afford to hide behind ā€œpositive spinā€ anymore ā€” itā€™s about winning and proving Tua can play like a true franchise quarterback.
