🚨 DOUGLAS COUNTY RESIDENTS HAVE HAD ENOUGH: PROTEST PLANNED AS RENEE GODWIN FIGHTS 180-DAY SUSPENSION…..AND THE EXPOSURE WILL BE THERE.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA | Residents are planning a protest Friday as Coroner Renee Godwin fights the Georgia Coroner’s Training Council’s proposed 180-day suspension of her certification.

And let’s be clear: this didn’t come out of nowhere.

For years, people have been digging into this office, reviewing records, audio, certifications, payroll concerns, death investigations and allegations involving Godwin, deputy coroner Carmen Chandler, and multiple families demanding answers. Then we started looking 👀

We also dug deeply into the disturbing questions surrounding Kenneth Michael Massey’s death, along with other cases that raised serious concerns about how this office was operating.

Now the state is taking unprecedented disciplinary action, residents are preparing to march, and suddenly everyone is paying attention.

Better late than never.

Godwin is entitled to her appeal.

But the public is entitled to answers, competence and accountability.

🚨 FORMER BREMEN COACH GEOFFREY BRAD MATTHEWS FOUND GUILTY ON ALL 13 COUNTS SENT TO THE JURY…AND THAT’S JUST IN ONE COUNTY.

HARALSON COUNTY, GA - Former Bremen coach and school employee Geoffrey Brad Matthews has been found GUILTY on all 13 counts sent to the jury, including charges involving child molestation and grooming. And there’s still more to come.

Sentencing is set for October 6 at 9:00 a.m.

District Attorney Jaeson Smith said:

“I want to thank these brave young men for coming forward. The level of courage they had to help bring this predator to justice is unbelievable.”

And after a jury heard the evidence, that word matters now:

Guilty.

Not “misunderstood.”
Not “railroaded.”
Not “people are just trying to ruin his life.”

Guilty on all 13 counts placed in front of that jury.

This case reportedly began after teenage boys started talking to one another and realized they had disturbingly similar experiences involving Matthews. What started as a conversation between students eventually became an investigation, arrests, testimony and now convictions.

And here’s the part that apparently still needs to be said because social media never disappoints:

There will STILL be people in the comments trying to defend him.

You already know they’re coming.

“He was always nice to me.”

“He was a great coach.”

“He helped my kid.”

“I just can’t believe it.”

“He never acted like that around us.”

Wonderful.

None of that erases a jury verdict.

Predators do not walk around wearing warning labels. Being friendly, respected, helpful, popular or good at your job does not magically cancel criminal conduct.

A jury heard the case.

A jury weighed the evidence.

A jury came back with 13 guilty verdicts.

And somehow somebody will still wander into the comment section armed with a personal anecdote and think it outweighs a courtroom.

It doesn’t.

And Matthews’ legal problems are far from over.

He also faces a separate Carroll County case involving another juvenile and 39 additional felony charges, including:

• 28 counts of Child Molestation
• 2 counts of Aggravated Child Molestation
• 8 counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes
• 1 count of Cruelty to Children in the First Degree

Those Carroll County charges are separate allegations and have not been adjudicated.

But in Haralson County?

That part is no longer an allegation.

He was convicted.

So save the character references.

Save the “but he was always nice to me” speeches.

Save the excuses.

The young men who came forward had to stand up against an adult who held a position of trust and authority in their community.

They spoke.

Investigators listened.

Prosecutors took the case forward.

And the jury answered.

GUILTY. 13 TIMES.

Sentencing is October 6.

And yes, we’ll probably be watching the comment section too, because apparently even a jury verdict won’t stop some people from volunteering for the defense team from their couch.

🚨 80 ADULTS ARRESTED AFTER GREENVILLE STREET TAKEOVER TURNS INTO A MASSIVE ROLL CALL OF STUPIDITY

Greenville County SC had itself a full-blown gathering of reckless idiots Saturday night, and deputies apparently decided they’d seen enough.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies moved in around 11:30 p.m. on September 5 near Locust Hill Road and Fairview Road after investigators say a massive street takeover brought burnouts, blocked roads, chaos, and the usual crowd of people convinced public streets belong to them. (Video in the comments below)

By the time deputies were finished, the scoreboard looked like this:

* 80 adults arrested
* Multiple juveniles detained
* 38 vehicles impounded
* 10 fi****ms seized

Every adult was reportedly charged with Aiding and Abetting Street Takeover under South Carolina’s Roadway Safety and Protection Act.

Eighty adults.

Not teenagers who didn’t know better. Not children who got carried away.

Adults.

Grown people who apparently looked at a blocked intersection, screeching tires, crowds, guns, and police sirens and thought, “Yep. This seems like a solid life decision.”

And spare us the “car culture” excuses.

Car culture is meets, builds, shows, racing at legal tracks, and people who actually respect the machines they claim to love.

This?

This is clown behavior with horsepower.

Blocking public roads so a mob can burn tires and act feral isn’t impressive. It’s selfish, dangerous, and embarrassingly stupid. Regular people are trying to drive home, get to work, reach hospitals, and live their lives while a bunch of attention-starved grown adults treat an intersection like their personal TikTok set.

And then there are the 10 fi****ms.

Because apparently reckless driving and shutting down public roads just wasn’t quite dumb enough on its own.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is still ongoing, which means more charges may be coming.

Good.

Maybe court dates, towing bills, impound fees, legal fees, and explaining to your family why your mugshot is circulating online will finally teach a lesson common sense clearly failed to deliver.

This wasn’t rebellion.

This wasn’t culture.

This wasn’t impressive.

It was a gigantic public display of poor judgment, and Greenville County deputies handed out consequences in bulk.

UPDATE | CAPTURED: The search for 21-year-old Isaac Kindle is officially over. Authorities confirmed Kindle was located and taken back into custody Thursday afternoon near Barrett Parkway and Macedonia Road in Powder Springs following a multi-agency search involving Cobb County and Powder Springs officers. Kindle had reportedly left his Douglas County inmate work detail earlier Thursday morning before the vehicle involved was later stopped in Cobb County without him inside. Kindle is now back in custody.

🚨 BREAKING | DOUGLAS COUNTY INMATE TRUSTEE ON THE RUN

An inmate trustee assigned to a work detail at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office apparently decided Thursday morning that washing cars wasn’t on his schedule anymore.

Authorities are searching for 21-year-old Isaac Kindle, who reportedly left the Sheriff’s Office car wash at approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday after getting into a sedan driven by a woman.

And this wasn’t simply an inmate wandering away from the work detail.

Someone was apparently waiting with a ride.

Law enforcement later located and stopped the sedan in Cobb County. The female driver was taken into custody.

There was just one fairly important problem:

Kindle wasn’t in the car.

Authorities now believe Kindle had already gotten out of the vehicle and say they believe he is no longer in Douglas County.

According to jail records cited by local media, Kindle was booked into the Douglas County Jail on June 22 on charges of theft by shoplifting and failure to appear and was being held without bond.

The identity of the woman who allegedly picked him up has not yet been released, and authorities have not announced what charges she may face.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says there is currently no known threat to the public.

But Kindle remains unaccounted for.

So now the questions begin:

How long after leaving the car wash was the vehicle located?

Where did Kindle get out?

Was his departure planned in advance?

And perhaps the biggest question, how does an inmate being held without bond end up with enough access to simply get into a waiting vehicle and leave a Sheriff’s Office work detail?

Those are questions we expect will get considerably more attention as this story develops.

Anyone who sees Kindle should not attempt to confront or detain him. Contact law enforcement instead.

🚨 BREAKING: MULTIPLE PEOPLE SHOT, INCLUDING TWO POLICE OFFICERS, IN DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS

MINNEAPOLIS, MN | A massive law enforcement response has descended on downtown Minneapolis after multiple people were shot, including two Minneapolis police officers, Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting unfolded near 15 East Grant Street, just blocks from the Minneapolis Convention Center and near the Loring Park area. The response has centered around Loring Towers, where heavily armed officers, SWAT teams, armored vehicles and ambulances flooded the surrounding streets.

And as more information comes in, the situation appears increasingly serious.

Local reports indicate at least six people may have been shot, including the two officers, while reports of civilian fatalities have also begun to emerge.

Authorities have not yet released a final official casualty count, and The Exposure isn’t going to turn preliminary numbers into confirmed facts simply to be first.

WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR:

🔴 Two Minneapolis police officers were shot. Both are reportedly expected to survive.

🔴 Multiple civilians were also reportedly shot, with local media reporting possible fatalities.

🔴 Witnesses reported hearing what sounded like rifle fire as the incident unfolded.

🔴 One witness told local media the gunfire appeared to be coming from an elevated position in or near the apartment building. Investigators have not officially confirmed where the shots originated.

🔴 People were reportedly seen being removed from the building on stretchers.

🔴 An active-shooter alert was sent to people in the surrounding area as authorities warned the public to stay away.

🔴 A massive multi-agency response followed, involving Minneapolis Police, SWAT units, Minnesota State Patrol and numerous surrounding law enforcement agencies.

🔴 Federal authorities are now involved. ATF agents responded to the scene, while the FBI made federal resources available to investigators.

The police response stretched across several blocks, with officers carrying long guns, armored vehicles positioned around the area and emergency crews standing by as authorities worked to secure the scene.

One witness told CBS Minnesota he heard what sounded like three rifle shots while traveling along La Salle Avenue and saw what appeared to be a wounded officer near a squad vehicle. That remains a witness account and has not been independently confirmed by investigators.

Authorities established a large perimeter around the scene and urged residents, workers and visitors to STAY AWAY FROM THE AREA.

There are also preliminary reports circulating regarding the suspected shooter, including reports that someone may have been located or taken into custody. Until Minneapolis authorities publicly confirm the suspect’s status, we’re not calling that settled either.

That’s the problem with the first few hours of a breaking story: information moves faster than verification.

What is undeniable tonight is that multiple people have been shot, two police officers are among the wounded, and an enormous local, state and federal response has converged on downtown Minneapolis.

Now investigators have to answer the questions everyone is asking:

Who opened fire?

Where were the shots coming from?

How many people were actually hit?

And what led to this?

FATIGUED……🚨 UPDATE: EAST COWETA FOOTBALL FIGHT: FIVE ADULTS. ONE JUVENILE. AND A GUN.

Remember that massive fight at the East Coweta vs. Newnan football game Friday night? (Video in the comment section)

Well, now we know a little more.

And somehow, it makes the entire situation even more ridiculous.

Six people were taken into custody.

FIVE were adults. Only ONE was a juvenile, and officials say that juvenile was the only Coweta County student involved.

So let's stop pretending this was simply a bunch of high school kids losing their tempers at a football game.

These were grown adults brawling at a HIGH SCHOOL sporting event.

And while deputies were breaking it up, a handgun was reportedly found on the ground near the fight. Authorities connected the firearm to 20-year-old Shamarion Reese, who faces charges including possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm on school property and affray.

Thankfully, the gun wasn't fired.

Thankfully, nobody was injured.

But we're getting pretty damn tired of relying on "thankfully."

Because people are FATIGUED.

Fatigued with this ghetto behavior.

Fatigued with grown adults who apparently cannot attend a children's sporting event without turning it into a street brawl.

Fatigued with guns showing up where families are supposed to be watching their kids play football.

And perhaps most of all, people are fatigued with the bizarre section of society that seems more outraged at the person CALLING OUT the behavior than the people actually committing it.

Speak up about violence and somebody attacks you.

Talk about accountability and somebody changes the subject.

Point out patterns and suddenly the conversation becomes about whether you were *allowed* to notice them.

Then everyone wonders why comment sections fill up with phrases like "the usual suspects."

Here's an uncomfortable idea:

Instead of screaming at people for noticing recurring problems, maybe we should start addressing the damn problems.

Where are the parents?

Where are the community leaders?

Where are the mentors?

Where are the grown adults willing to sit young people down and explain that every disagreement doesn't require fists, a mob or a firearm?

And in this particular case, apparently some of the grown adults themselves need that conversation.

Because we've watched enough videos.

We've written enough stories.

We've seen enough memorial photographs.

We've watched enough mothers, fathers and children lose somebody over an argument that should have ended with everyone simply walking the hell away.

This time the gun wasn't fired.

This time nobody died.

But anyone following the violence we report every week knows exactly how quickly "a fight broke out" can become "an innocent person was killed."

So yes, we're going to keep talking about it.

We're going to keep calling it out.

And if acknowledging an ugly problem makes people uncomfortable, good.

Maybe comfortable is part of the damn problem.

We're fatigued.

And we shouldn't need another innocent person's funeral before this community finally decides it's time for a serious conversation.

🚨 POLK COUNTY, YOU WERE ALREADY ON OUR RADAR… SO WE MIGHT AS WELL START THIS SHOW WITH A DONKEY SHOW. 🫏

Polk County, GA was already on The Exposure’s list of places we planned to start digging into.

And considering the GBI arrested a former Polk County Police officer earlier this month over alleged misuse of a license-plate-reader system, maybe our timing wasn’t so bad.

But today’s story is about HeeHaw, a bottle-raised baby donkey whose owner says was shot and killed by law enforcement inside his own pasture.

According to the owner, officers entered the private pasture around 12:45 a.m. while searching for a missing person, without first contacting or warning her.

She says HeeHaw ran toward the officers braying. Officers allegedly told her they felt threatened, attempted to Tase him, and ultimately shot and killed him.

His owner says HeeHaw was raised inside the house, participated in petting zoos and had never known a stranger.

A Cedartown Police officer has been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated. Both Cedartown Police and Polk County Police were reportedly involved that night, although authorities have not publicly identified the officer who fired the fatal shot.

And now there’s another claim circulating that could change this story considerably.

We’re hearing that the missing person officers were searching for may have been located approximately ONE HOUR before HeeHaw was shot.

To be clear: The Exposure has not independently confirmed that timeline yet.

But if it’s true, we have one hell of a question:

WHY WERE OFFICERS STILL SEARCHING A PRIVATE, FENCED RANCH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?

Why wasn’t the owner contacted?

What was the justification for continuing the search?

What did HeeHaw actually do that justified deadly force?

And most importantly:

WHERE IS THE BODYCAM FOOTAGE?

The comment section is overwhelmingly demanding the same thing: footage, incident reports, dispatch records and answers. Several commenters specifically questioned why the property owner wasn’t contacted before officers entered a pasture containing livestock. Pasted markdown.md

And let’s be clear about something else.

Moving around someone’s rural property in the middle of the night without the owner knowing you’re law enforcement can become extremely dangerous for everyone involved.

If the evidence shows officers were justified, we’ll report it.

But if that missing person had already been found and officers were still roaming this family’s property an hour later?

Polk County and Cedartown have some explaining to do.

Because this may have started with a donkey and a couple Jackasses.

But HeeHaw may have just kicked open a much bigger door. 🫏

🚨 FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS: FIVE OR MORE DETAINED, GUN FOUND AT EAST COWETA–NEWNAN GAME

We’re fatigued.

Seriously. Fatigued.

Apparently, going to a high school football game, watching some football, grabbing overpriced concession-stand nachos, and going home without somebody getting arrested is becoming too ambitious.

Friday night at East Coweta High School’s Garland Shoemake Stadium turned into something closer to Friday Night Fights when a brawl involving several people erupted near the home-side concession stands around halftime.

Video from the scene shows a large crowd gathering as deputies, other officers, and a Georgia State Patrol trooper converge on the chaos. Several people can be seen being restrained on the ground while officers attempt to clear everyone else away.

And because a good old-fashioned fistfight apparently wasn’t enough…….

A handgun was found on the ground.

Five people were taken into custody, and some of those involved are believed to be students. Several innocent bystanders also reportedly got caught up in the mess.

The Coweta County School System says considerable resources and law enforcement personnel are dedicated to keeping events like this safe.

And that’s exactly what makes this so ridiculous.

Schools can add officers. They can add security. They can add rules, cameras, metal detectors, policies, meetings about policies, and probably another meeting to discuss the previous meeting.

But at some point, people have to stop acting like complete idiots at a high school football game.

We’re tired of writing these stories.

Parents and students should be able to attend a Friday night game without wondering whether halftime entertainment is going to include handcuffs and a recovered firearm.

We are officially fatigued.

🚨 BAY SPRINGS: WAS THE PROBLEM THE EMAIL BEING SENT…….OR WHAT WAS SAID IN IT?

Carroll County, we want to hear from the parents on this one.

And considering our previous adventures with Bay Springs and that math problem known as Kimberly Holland, we’re becoming increasingly confident The Exposure will NOT be invited to the Bay Springs Christmas party this year. 😂

But this time, the story isn’t about math.

It’s about a child, a school club, and an internal email conversation that apparently wasn’t supposed to make it outside the building.

A grandmother says she paid the dues and purchased a T-shirt for her granddaughter to participate in the Purple Pearls at Bay Springs Middle School. When the club met, however, the student reportedly wasn’t on the list.

So Grandma emailed the school asking a pretty simple question:

Why wasn’t she included if we already paid?

According to the emails provided to The Exposure, there was apparently a separate registration form that had not been completed.

Okay. Administrative mistake? Miscommunication? Those things happen.

But then came the internal conversation.

Landria Cash, one of the faculty members associated with Purple Pearls, wrote:

“She did not register. You don’t pay for things and not register!!!!”

Then, after the issue continued to be discussed, Cash wrote:

“Ughhh. I guess since they paid we let them although I don’t want to. What do you want to do?”

And apparently someone hit the wrong button somewhere because the family ended up receiving the email chain.

Now THAT’S where we want to turn this story over to you.

How would YOU feel if this were your child?

Is the problem simply that an internal, casual conversation between teachers was accidentally shared with the family?

Teachers are human. They get frustrated. They vent to coworkers. Should private conversations between faculty members be viewed differently from something actually said to a student?

Or does that miss the bigger issue entirely?

Because this isn’t two employees complaining about the copier being broken.

They’re discussing a child.

And Purple Pearls reportedly promotes things like sisterhood, empowerment, self-esteem, celebrating individuality and social and emotional wellness.

So should an adult helping lead that program ever be privately saying:

“Ughhh…”

and

“…although I don’t want to”

when discussing whether one of those children should participate?

Maybe the email being accidentally forwarded isn’t the real problem.

Maybe the question is whether there should have been anything embarrassing in that email chain to accidentally forward in the first place.

The family says school administration and the Carroll County Board of Education have been notified.

So we’re asking Carroll County parents:

Was this simply an unfortunate private conversation that accidentally became public?

Or do educators have a responsibility to speak about children professionally and respectfully even when the parents aren’t supposed to hear it?

And most importantly:

If this were YOUR daughter, what would you expect the school to do about it?
