I love all the ways we’ve invented to describe how we feel about club music

“F**k off”
“Groover”
“Chugger”
“Quite nice innit”
I always love how the scene unfolds when a homie drops an absolute skanker and another homie just starts yelling out raggae dub chants
“BOP BOP BOP”
I always love hearing a big ole whistle from the depths of the crowd. It lets you know that somewhere on that dancefloor, that person is in bliss.
As a DJ, when that happens I think, “I did it”. It’s what I’m here for. All the pressure from before the set is lifted off; now, the pressure to keep that person there begins.
I love it when I see someone dancing eyes-closed to something I wrote/produced. When their energy level doesn’t change after transitioning into one of my tracks, my soul soars. When they dance harder, I’m in heaven.
Lots to be grateful for if you just take the time to stop and to look around yourself. I know it’s not easy, but the best life has to offer can be found in all the small things.
Just gotta take some time to stop and smell the roses 🌹
