Feeling conflicted about a neighbor's "front yard attire." 🧐 Would this bother you, or should I just look the other way?
I’m all for people enjoying their own property, but today really tested my patience. A neighbor spent the whole day working shirtless in his front yard while everyone was out enjoying the weather. With kids riding bikes and neighbors walking by, it just felt inappropriate for a "front-facing" space. I put in a formal complaint because it made me so uneasy, but I’m curious—is this a standard "unwritten rule" in your neighborhood, or do people just do whatever they want? How do you handle it when a neighbor’s behavior makes the whole street feel "off"?

Ok y'all im worried about my neighbor. Last night around 9:00 PM I left my apartment to go shopping down the street at Winco. While going down stairs I saw that my neighbor had left their keys in their door and I thought, "damn l've totally done that before." But I didn't think much of it. About an hour later I got home, and walked past my neighbor's door as I always do since I live upstairs, in the unit directly above them.
And I couldn't help but notice their keys were still in the door! So I'm thinking s**t ok, maybe they're just really tired or maybe they've already frantically looked all over the house for their keys, idk. But I couldn't just go home and forget about it with at least trying to let them know, y'know? So I gave the door a good knock and when they didn't answer (because honestly I think most people tend to not answer their door for strangers these days) I said through the door "hey y'all left your keys in the door!" I felt better knowing l at least tried. Fast forward to today. This afternoon, keys still in door. I knocked. Nothing. It's now been 24 hours and their keys are still in the door!!! Now I'm wondering, is my neighbor ok?? Am I overthinking it?
What would you do in this situation? Should I call the non emergency line and request that they do a welfare check? Or is that too dramatic?? I really don't know. I just genuinely hope that everything is ok over there..
So please, let me know your thoughts. Thank you

Some guy tipped me ten dollars in quarters, and I’m still trying to figure out what kind of person thinks that’s acceptable. I just finished a DoorDash order, and he casually mentions he forgot to tip in the app—which, fine, not ideal, whatever. Then he dramatically pulls out a literal roll of quarters like he’s handing me the crown jewels.
He looks me dead in the eye and says,
ā€œSorry man, I didn’t tip on the app, this is all I’ve got.ā€
Yeah, thanks. I love holding a handful of coins like it’s 1998. I don’t use change. I’m not a parking meter. I’m not walking around with rolls of quarters or dumping them into a Coinstar just to get the money I already earned. I took it because arguing over coins isn’t how I planned to spend my day, but that doesn’t make it okay.
Tipping in quarters is peak absurdity. Tip in the app, tip in bills, tip digitally—literally anything that doesn’t involve me schlepping around loose metal. Acting like this is normal? Pure comedy. And yes, no one should ever think a pocketful of coins counts as a tip.

My neighbor does this every day, and I’m not sure how to handle it. Do you have any advice?

Just wrapped up a shift and had a moment that really made me think.
A table had a $25.92 bill and left $30 total, which means the tip came out to about $4.08. Some people probably see that as ā€œrounding up,ā€ but in reality it ends up being a pretty small tip percentage.
I know not everyone thinks about the math behind it, and I’m always grateful when someone leaves something extra. But when you’re working a job where tips make up a big part of your income, those little differences really add up over a full shift.
It just got me wondering how people usually think about it — do you round up your total, or do you calculate the tip percentage first? šŸ¤”
