⬇️⬇️⬇️ DOG TRAVEL MYTH BUSTER:

🌏 Traveling with a dog is possible.
Many dog friendly options for dining & accommodation. More activities are becoming dog friendly - boat rentals, paddle boarding, even some movie theaters. Museums, monuments & beaches often have restricted access. Do your research in advance to find out the dog friendly places. (Or follow she’s in the know😂)

🌏 Europe & the USA do not require quarantine. Only a few countries require quarantine eg. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore…
This is to mainly to safeguard against rabies.
Now there are vaccinations, microchips, pet passports & mandatory rabies vaccinations (in Florida) - hopefully this will continue to make traveling easier & more importantly help reduce cases of rabies.

🌏 Snub nose dogs/ Brachycephalic dogs can fly with certain airlines. As long as it is safe for the dog, for some dogs it can be risky. It is very important you take your dog to a veterinarian, to ensure your dog will be safe to fly. Not all airlines will take the certain breeds. However, many do, a lot of the European airlines ask you to sign a disclaimer.

🌎 There is no universal ‘Airline Approved Carrier’.
Each airline has different dimensions for dog carriers, there is no standard for approval. It’s important to always check with your airline, their specific dimensions.
The best option is to get a semi soft case that can always fit/ squeeze into different airlines dimensions. We like to use an expandable carrier.

🌍 Traveling with a dog certainly takes research and planning - but it is possible…You can see plenty of proof… when you follow the travels of 😊🧡🐾

🇺🇸 To travel with your dog to Europe & the UK, you need International Health Certificates. In America, you need to visit an accredited veterinary and then submit the paperwork to the USDA for endorsement.
Many countries allow a qualified veterinary to issue them.

⏰ This can only be done within 10 days of flying. So there is not alot of time. We always submit ours the full 10 days before departure.

✈️ We’re sharing our recent timeline. Processing may be quicker or longer, depending on the USDA office.

🛂 Americans & other non EU residents can no longer use the EU Pet Passports, so more travelers require the USDA Heath Certificate.

✔️ It’s a good idea to use the full 10 days for processing, just in case.

❓Let us know if you have any questions & follow along as we head off on our European & UK trip….

WHERE DO YOU FIND THE CORRECT❓
✅ USDA website - links in my linktree/ bio.
✅ CDC website - links in my linktree.
🚫 Chatgpt often very wrong.
🚫 Veterinary often wrong, check yourself.
🚫 Content creators - we share our experiences in hope to reduce pet travel stress & normalize dog travel. However, rules change & airlines can offer incorrect info. So always check directly with country agencies & airlines….

FINDING AN ACCREDITED VETERINARY:
✅ Your vet MUST be ‘accredited’ by USDA - link in linktree/bio
✅ Shop around, prices in Florida vary $330 - $695 for international health certificates.
I need both European & a UK Health certificate for my upcoming trip 🙈
🚫 Companies or veterinarians using a third party vet, it’s more expensive and can take longer.

✅ Rabies certificate
✅ Health Certificate - must be from accredited veterinary, endorsed by USDA.

DEWORM CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR:
