⬇️⬇️⬇️ DOG TRAVEL MYTH BUSTER:
🌏 Traveling with a dog is possible.
Many dog friendly options for dining & accommodation. More activities are becoming dog friendly - boat rentals, paddle boarding, even some movie theaters. Museums, monuments & beaches often have restricted access. Do your research in advance to find out the dog friendly places. (Or follow she’s in the know😂)
🌏 Europe & the USA do not require quarantine. Only a few countries require quarantine eg. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore…
This is to mainly to safeguard against rabies.
Now there are vaccinations, microchips, pet passports & mandatory rabies vaccinations (in Florida) - hopefully this will continue to make traveling easier & more importantly help reduce cases of rabies.
🌏 Snub nose dogs/ Brachycephalic dogs can fly with certain airlines. As long as it is safe for the dog, for some dogs it can be risky. It is very important you take your dog to a veterinarian, to ensure your dog will be safe to fly. Not all airlines will take the certain breeds. However, many do, a lot of the European airlines ask you to sign a disclaimer.
🌎 There is no universal ‘Airline Approved Carrier’.
Each airline has different dimensions for dog carriers, there is no standard for approval. It’s important to always check with your airline, their specific dimensions.
The best option is to get a semi soft case that can always fit/ squeeze into different airlines dimensions. We like to use an expandable carrier.
🌍 Traveling with a dog certainly takes research and planning - but it is possible…You can see plenty of proof… when you follow the travels of 😊🧡🐾
