Chris Campos and Ryan Michaels make their debut on Ole Music with a Tech House weapon titled, “You Know Me.” Here is what they had to say when we caught up with them just a few days after the release.

Q: What inspired “You Know Me”, and how did that vibe shape the track?

A: Ryan: Honestly, “You Know Me” came from the music I grew up with — those classic 90’s reggae tunes that just hit different. We wanted to take that nostalgic vibe and flip it into a groovy house track. It’s full of drums, energy, and that sunny feeling that makes you want to move.

A: Chris: “You Know Me” was inspired by ’90s dancehall music. We both grew up listening to it, so bringing that energy into our workflow felt natural. That vibe really shaped the whole direction of the track.

Q: How did “You Know Me” evolve throughout the creative process in studio?

A: Ryan: It all started with the sample — that was the spark. Once we found it, the groove just built itself. We kept layering drums and percussion until it had that live, bouncy energy we wanted. It started smooth, ended up with serious punch. Every session took it to another level.

A: Chris: Originally, we wanted to use the hook from “Romi” by Beenie Man so people would instantly recognize it. But while we were working, the loop accidentally wrapped back to the beginning of the track where he was just talking. We both felt that part was way more interesting than the main hook, so we ran with it. Honestly, it was an amazing happy accident.

Q: What is one thing that you have taken away from your experience working together on “You Know Me?”

A: Ryan: This track reminded me that old sounds can always find new life. Pulling from 90’s reggae and turning it into something fresh showed me how powerful nostalgia can be when you mix it with your own style. Respect the roots, create the future.

A: Chris: Working with Ryan showed me how deeply he understands music. He is very strong at songwriting (involving lyrics) and comes up with such creative ideas. Overall, he has influenced me to give that a try.

Omaroff makes his debut on Ole Music with “Amigos,” and we wanted to catch up with him to find out more about his inspiration and creative process.

Q: What inspired the concept behind “Amigos”?

A: “Amigos” was born from that real connection that happens on the dance floor, when music brings people together no matter what. I was inspired by those moments when you’re surrounded by your friends, not overthinking, just feeling the groove and enjoying the present.
I also wanted to create an elegant tech house sound, with touches of house and funky — a balanced blend that works at any hour of the night. In the end, it’s a tribute to that collective energy that happens in the club or in the studio, where everything flows naturally.

_____

Q: How would you describe the energy or atmosphere you wanted to create with this release?

A: I wanted something fresh but with attitude — a steady groove, clean basslines, and that hypnotic touch that pulls you in without realizing it. “Amigos” carries a warm, positive, and at the same time underground vibe — something that fits perfectly in a classy warm up or in the middle of a peak-time set.
Without stepping away from my personal style, I aimed to make a track for everyone — not commercial, but not too underground either. Just honest music, made to be enjoyed in any context.
____

Q: What does “Amigos” represent for you at this stage of your artistic journey?

A: For me, it represents evolution and authenticity. I’m at a stage where I want every track to have a story behind it — a real connection.
I’m enjoying my time in the studio more than ever, not chasing anything specific, just loving the process and the hours spent creating. When I feel a track can connect with people, I release it, without thinking about trends or styles.
“Amigos” is exactly that — a free, natural track that fits within the full range of sounds I play, born purely from the joy of making music.

This week, we catch up with Jose Diez, the Spanish producer behind the label’s latest release, “Blade Runner,” here’s what he had to say.

Q: What inspired the concept and sound behind “Blade Runner?”

A: When adding the snares, I found it to be similar to the song “Spastik” by Richie Hawtin but of course not exactly like the Kings track. Overall, Blade Runner has the touch of groove that Ole Mudic has.
____

Q: How would you describe the vibe you wanted to create on the dancefloor with “Blade Runner?”

A: I describe it as a fresh track, with a bass line that catches the clubber’s attention on the dance floor. It is a good groove to dance to.
____

Q: What’s next for you after this release — any upcoming projects or collaborations we should watch for?

A: I had stopped producing for a long time but the relaunch of Ole Music and this release have pushed me to get back at it again. I have several finished projects but still pending release.
