This is me having children later in life… a topic that apparently gives some people very strong opinions. 😅

I’ve noticed that most of the criticism tends to come from younger people who worry about losing their parents someday or having to help care for them when they’re older. And honestly, when you think about it, our parents spent years taking care of us, cleaning up our messes, and putting our needs first. That’s kind of what family does.

Anyway, I put together a little compilation while trying to wake up my TikTok account back up from the dead and earn those creator bonuses. 😂 My “grandma” videos have always caused a stir for some reason. It’s amazing how much a simple filter can offend people.

So here’s a collection of my favorite grandma moments, featuring my sweet little girl with Down syndrome, who has a way of brightening every room she walks into. ❤️

Enjoy! 🤪

❤️

I am so very tempted to do it 🤷‍♀️😅🥴…

My son spent a month in the NICU with severe hypoglycemia. He was born with blood sugar 14!!!! Here are a couple videos from when we were separated when he was a 4 lbs newborn vs. what he looks like at 3 months old ❤️❤️❤️

Welp, Dad gave her a bath and before dinner she decided to wipe her entire face on the patio screen and than put her sunglasses on she got from school like nothing happened

f how many times I came close to dying.

Adrenal crises. Respiratory arrest. Seizures. Muscle weakness so severe that some days it felt impossible to keep moving forward. Watching my body change, lose strength, and fight battles I never asked for.

People often think survival is a single moment. It isn’t.

It’s waking up the next day and choosing to try again.

It’s choosing hope when the odds aren’t in your favor.
It’s believing there is still a future worth fighting for when your body is doing everything it can to convince you otherwise.

I can’t control every illness, every setback, or every diagnosis.

But I can control whether I give up.

And I refuse.

If you’re going through something impossible right now, this is your reminder: don’t quit. As long as you’re still here, your story isn’t over.

I picked up my son from school with doughnuts and a soda and decided to mess with him a little.

I handed him the treats and then, in my best guilty-parent voice, apologized for not bringing him something healthy instead.

The look on his face was priceless. 🤣

Then I told him I almost took him to McDonald’s.

Without missing a beat, he looked at me and said:

“Mom… McDonald’s isn’t healthy.”

I don’t know what surprised me more—that he knew that, or that he immediately called me out on it.

Sometimes kids have a way of reminding us that they’re listening a lot more than we think they are. ❤️

And yes, he still happily ate the doughnut. 🍩😂
