Upon the completion of recording their latest single, 'The Unhelpful Thought' b/w 'Easy-Off', Noise Factor asked themselves a simple question: What was the most subversive method of releasing it?

Releasing it on a Tuesday was a consideration, but a play on the K-Tel Greatest Hits packages of old won out.

'Unhelpful Thoughts: Noise Factor's Greatest Misses' covers three critically & commercially ignored EPs by Tom Parsons & Eric Baker - plus that soon-to-be ignored single.

Long time no say! How are you? I hope that this year hasn't been a complete cluster-fudge for you.

For those that might have an interest (I'm looking at one or two of you), Noise Factor - an experimental electronic duo from the U.S. Midwest, has just released a new single 'The Unhelpful Thought b/w Easy-Off' in compilation form. On vinyl-on-demand, no less!

How is that possible?

'Unhelpful Thoughts: Noise Factor's Greatest Misses', a ten track compilation of the old and the new, celebrates nearly two years of creative partnership between Tom Parsons (aka, Arwr Neb) and Eric Baker (aka Bärkər).
