Hello Local Original Music Lovers!

We are sad to say good-bye to the Middletown Music Festival! For nine years we had an amazing time in the Cedar Grove at Middlesex Community College. The Middletown Commission on the Arts supported us for nearly EVERY year!! We are beyond grateful for their support of local original music!!

Our goal was to bring artists and music lovers together outside of a bar, or concert venue. We wanted the music to be available to everyone. I think we succeeded!

COVID forced us to become creative in order to continue to bring this amazing music to the public! With the help of a grant from the MCA we decided to stream the festival. Broadcasting is in our blood! We got some cameras, hooked it up to our amazing sound system, and the Poorhouse Concert Series was born!

The Poorhouse Concert Series will livestream across social media, YouTube, Rumble, and Twitch, from our barn before a private audience.

For more information on being a part of our private audience please message us for more details. This is a Private Membership Association.

Artists, please send bio and music links: [email protected] We look forward to a new and very exciting chapter!

We are so very sad to lose our dear friend Kim Kelly❤️ The Middletown Music Festival will not be the same without her!! She volunteered her time and worked so hard to help make the festival happen! Here is a picture of our feet, because we were hysterically laughing after we laid out the field for the vendors, and our feet were filthy!

Kim was so full of life, and not shy at all! She would walk around the festival and help collect donations, talk to people, and get even the most cranky person to smile!

She will be tremendously missed!! RIP Dear Friend❤️🙏🏽

Another festival has come to pass. What a year!! So much beautiful music and colorful people. I am so deeply touched and inspired by you.

It is a tremendous effort to produce this show. It only happens because of a tribe of people that spend hours doing the grunt work behind the scenes that is not always pretty, or fun. Sometimes I miss sets because of it. It’s not easy being a producer and pulling off a weekend long event.

Thank you to all the people filming and taking pictures when I could not be there.

I am preparing to take a long social media break to concentrate on my own music and release our record this fall, A Spin on The Cosmic Wheel, a collaboration of songs by myself and Mr. Sparks. When I am a producer, it is hard not to lose my creative time and get caught up in being a producer. I love doing it❤️

I also love being an artist, and I need to concentrate on my own music. Before I take off, I just want to thank all the artists for sharing your music on our stage at The Middletown Music Festival. This is a festival made possible by artists. It is the original music, the community, and this vibrant musical scene that inspires us.

Many exciting things are on the horizon....

Thank you Robin Russo for your creative ideas, hard work and love❤️

Thank you Kim Kelly for helping us feed the pig and for being you❤️

Dana Newman and Bryan Newman Thank you❤️❤️❤️ For great sound, a tight stage, your music!!!! Your professionalism and your friendship❤️❤️❤️ I see lots more music in the future🎶🎶🎶

Thank you to my dear friend Thad McKenney for making the beer tasting happen, for all the hours and hard grunt work you do behind the scenes❤️ Thank you for being you🎶🌈

Thank you to my beautiful husband, Timothy R Sparks for your music, and muscle. Thank you for giving of yourself and all the hard grunt work that you do to make this happen!! I love you❤️🎶🌈

Thank you Stereo Joe for being a great sound man and an all around sweetheart❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Heidi Washburn for your gorgeous photography❤️❤️

Thank you Andrew Mark Prue for gongs and drums ❤️🎶🌈

Thank you Jay Viarengo for helping with the beer tent and for being you❤️🎶🌈 So glad to have you back for the summer❤️ Thank you for Banjo, I love him!!

I will be off social media after downloading pictures and videos of festival tomorrow. I will not be reachable via messenger, or FB.

Please reach me off line by text.
