ELSEWHEREVILLE Children's Chapter Book Trailer

So excited for the premiere of the Elsewhereville book trailer on YouTube Sunday, February 20th at 2:00pm Eastern time.

The author is my friend Melanie J. Vogel, Children’s Book Author. She writes lovely kids books about acceptance, and in Elsewhereville, "where different is divine," "fitting out is way more fun than fitting in."

This was the first big project produced by CranberryJade Services with the talents of William Jamieson! I'm so very pleased with how it turned out.

The 'Joker' Virus Has Returned to Android: It Can Empty Your Bank Accounts Without You Noticing It and It Is Hidden in These Apps in the Google Play Store

It's a good idea to periodically review what apps are installed on your phone and what permissions those apps have.

CJS’s first design project was completed in April 2021 for Developmental Support Associates LLC. They needed to update their current marketing materials for an important presentation on a tight deadline.

The S and Q in the SummerQuest logo were the starting point for inspiration. After talking with the clients, I asked graphic designer Andrea Contaldi (andreacontaldi.com) to create a marketing flyer that represented the fantastical theme of the SummerQuest online group classes. We created an A and B version with alternate text for targeted audiences. The pictured flyer was used at the presentation. The other version will be used at a later date.

A serif font (New Rocker) was chosen to represent the medieval time period and resonate with the elements of the dragon such as the sharp claws and pointy teeth. For legibility, a similar font (Rajdhani) is utilized for the informational text. The font again has a tall and narrow structure, which pairs well with the header font. The ad copy is targeted at organizational clients. A muted monochromatic color palette was selected to create a strong, classical feel along with open-source imagery.

FTC vs. Facebook is back on, and it's going deep on mobile stumbles

"The Zuckerberg Empire" is frequently a shorthand used when discussing a client's social media platform footprint: Facebook + Instagram + WhatsApp.

These are also the first platforms owner Tiffany A. Santos took a "deep dive" into during the spring, learning the in's and out's of the parameters specific to each and how they are integrated, making consults specifically tailored to the needs of each client. She also completed industry research and reviewed metrics from reputable reporting agencies.

Recent changes to Messenger, specifically the removal of the "chat head" feature, make is less of a freestanding app, but she included Messenger as a subapplication.

A teen who was bullied on Snapchat died. His mom is suing to hold social media liable

This is a very sad case involving Snapchat and two of its third-party apps.

The suit cites research on the effects of cyberbullying but also argues that Snap, Yolo, and LMK "failed to live up to their terms of service and other commitments to users."

Nike sues the maker of Lil Nas X 'Satan Shoes' for trademark infringement

This is a case to watch - Commercial interests clashing with Artistic endeavors...

"The lawsuit notes that social media users have threatened to boycott Nike over the controversial shoes." In the court filing, Nike claims, "In the short time since the announcement of the Satan Shoes, Nike has suffered significant harm to its goodwill, including among consumers who believe that Nike is endorsing satanism."

Over the years of Art becoming Big Business, Disney has spent unfathomable amounts of money to alter copyright law to benifit them as a company. I'm curious to see if Nike is poised to do the same with trademarks.

The debate is headed to the courtroom, but it all started on social media!
